It's incredible the stories you hear on the news of women murdering their own children! Shooting them in the head, drowning them, strangling them and burying their bodies in a landfill. It makes me sick to my stomach to hear that kind of stuff. I don't hear stories like this coming from Europe, South America or the Philippines, I only hear about this kind of stuff here in the US.

The "socialism" that Americans like to accuse Europeans (and most other developed nations) of having, is not really socialism. These accusations are just propaganda from the press and those in power here, and a way to keep Americans blind to how good a life they really could have, if they knew what other countries enjoyed. These are social benefits that EVERYONE in those countries get, rich or poor. It is NOT welfare, which we associate only with the very poor, scammers, and the "perpetual underclass". Whereas in the US, our taxpayer money is used by the government to bail out banks, companies, pay off corrupt politicians via lobbying, and funding endless senseless wars, in most other countries, that taxpayer money is used to develop their infrastructure, fund university education, fund universal healthcare (at least a basic level), etc., etc. The Europeans for example see this as a responsible and humane way to treat their citizens and to provide them with a comfortable life in which those citizens can be thriving productive members of society. I see a key difference between there and here being that we trust our government to the point where we are incapable of seeing the evil they do and believe all the propaganda they feed us. In Europe, they don't trust their government as much and keep them under very tight watch. That's why they protest so much. No one really protests political activity like that in the US. At most, you see little groups quietly holding signs. The violent ones are just idiotic anarchists protesting for the hell of it. To me, it is a good thing, when a government has a healthy fear of their citizenry. Our government doesn't fear us in the US, and their behavior shows that. Do you really think your vote or letter to your congressman makes a difference?

I also recommend reading an excellent book, called "Europe's Promise", by Steven Hill. This is his website and you can read the first chapter of his book on there for free: http://www.europespromise.org/

America the Grim Truth is the best summary I have ever read of the problems this country faces. Agree with everything Red Dog says. We call ourselves a stable democracy. Translated, that means the oligarchy is so entrenched, and the population so incredibly dumbed down and disengaged with public life, that there is absolutely no possibility of reform. Even Latin America, where the people are always saying to government, "no, this won't do," would be preferable to the U.S. death stasis.

I'm leaving tomorrow for three months in Prague. I'm coming back for a couple of months in August, but by the end of the year I hope to be relocated outside the U.S. more or less permanently. Not sure how well it's going to work financially -- and it will depend on some Americans doing the things they said they would do, like pay rent, which is always precarious -- but I'm going to find out.

It's because Americans as a majority are too ignorant and dumb to realize WE ARE NOT #1 in everything, far from it. The elite loves the average patriotic american because a dumb slave is a better than one who actually thinks.

My God, I just read that article and it makes me want to vomit! How could a mother light her own daughter on fire?

Here is another article which talks about the Casey Antony case, where she is accused of killing her two year old daughter. The trial begins soon.

I hear people in the west (I'm talking Australia, US and UK here. Don't know other Western countries well enough to comment.) talk a lot about getting ahead. Getting ahead means that others need to be left behind. I think that this mentality cuts across a lot of things in the west from the way people drive (this is my space, don't intrude etc) to the way that people don't help each other as much (God forbid that someone you help might surpass and get ahead of you!).

There are of course people in the West who will help you but I've found that this is not the norm. In contrast I've been shocked by the help and support that I've gained from people and friends in Thailand during times of need. Many of these are expats originally from the West but they have a different mentality which is why they live here. The amount of help and support that I've received from friends as well as people that I've not known well has astounded me. Community and Spirituality is stronger here by 1000 percent which I believe is pivotal to this. In the West it is all about the individual, what can I get for me, how can I be better than others. This trait is slowly easing into Thailand too of course but there is a strong sense of community and Spirituality that goes back a long time which helps to counteract it.

If you think about it, starting in I believe the 80s/90s, getting into a pre-IPO was the *get ahead* mentality for a lot of Americans. Earlier, it was more work/interest related, i.e. I want to design a nuclear plant vs I can bill out at $180/hr for that plant spec and/or patents/royalties lock-in.

The highest amount of fluidity, for a society, was the above ... putting in some effort, fake or real, and reaping some dollars at the end of the pipeline. This is now beginning to permeate the developing world.

Well, this crowd has opted out of the rat race. But really, until one makes that decision to break ranks, we're still in the matrix where money & status are one's trump card. And in Thailand, the (American middle class+) farang is a chick magnet. The greatest shock comes from the handsome, nice guys (who no one wants in the USA because he's nice, smart, & not gay) because as soon as they go to the first gathering in Thailand, almost every single girl is interested in them.

You hear about this stuff in Australia (and I assume the rest of the Anglosphere because many Anglo women are complete psychos), too.

So much for those puritan fantasies about women being angels and goddesses, then...

Your posts are worthy of approbation. To answer your question, yes I agree with your points on the American people. There are Americans who fit those roles (the black gangstah, the golf suburbia Caucasian men, etc), there are Americans who are vain, etc. America can be bad for your mental health.
There aren't many attractive women (inside and outside) in America. A man wants a physically attractive woman with attractive personality traits. American women usually don't have that combination.

Ever since I found Winston's website and read the information on there, my life has been much easier and I've been a MUCH more happier person!

No matter how good she looks, some other guy is sick and tired of putting up with her crap. ~Author Unknown (Quote about women)

Theres alot of occult activity going on in America, in my opinion. Of course it is never discussed in the media.
How to deal with newbies that talk much but do little.

Pics or it didn't happen.

YES/NO

Cool story, bro.
