I will address all your points since your lack of faith is disturbing.

I agree with your 3 points about college degree relating to high-demand, practical skills. A college degree person does have advantage over someone who never finished college. They enter the workforce and gain experience/networking opportunities. A higher education degree is necessary to seek higher levels of career placement. I don't disagree with any of those statements. I do benefit from the system because I am the only child of an engineer and nurse. I don't deny that, but I want to raise awareness of the corrupt corporate structure and to promote a revolutionary social justice movement to improve the lives of all people.

Where we diverge in ideological thinking is that you support the current banking/business system that is devoid of any real human connection. The banks and corporations only care about profits, and they will manipulate the government in their favor. You are part of that corrupt system. While you prosper at this "business" job you have, there are millions that suffer under this tyrannical system of inflation and debt. America's healthcare system is a total disaster because people cannot afford health insurance due to pre-existing conditions, lack of employment, and the rising healthcare costs. I think it's a human right to have quality health services. The rich people benefit from the current system because they can afford to pay for all the expensive treatment. Poor people are meant to suffer and die like wretched vermin.

I'm not a keyboard warrior. I'm a free-thinking, compassionate human being that is disgusted and tired by this corrupt & greedy system of malice.
I hate people like you who judge and put down others to justify your own arrogance.

I don't care how much money you make. When you die, you can't bring your bank account with you sucka. OWNED.

philosophical_filipino,

I don't believe anyone here is in some state of denial that corporate America is some benevolent entity in charge of truth, justice, and the American way.

It's true, corporations and their HR depts have forced many to attend college, when they should have gone into a trade or self-employment, like music or the crafts.

But the fact of the matter is that Team USA isn't alone in this problem. Almost every country in the world tries to emulate some form of American style of capitalism and yes, they also have their crony capitalists as well, see the Caebols of South Koreas. And for many people, being seen in an office, even if the job is boring/uninteresting, is perceived as being better than being seen, fixing cars or cleaning drain pipes. This is a type of British-like class system, but from a broader perspective.

Thus, you'll find that the ultimate focus is the bottomline, making money, because that's what gives one their ability to do things outside of work.

Many symphonies, rock bands, sporting events, etc, have corporate sponsorship. In metro Boston, the local rock band, Drop Kick Murphys, is practically on the payroll of the MLB Boston Red Sox Coporation. Even I was a kid, this wasn't the case as our bands were *organic* and made it on their own, some even nationally: see Boston, Aerosmith, The Cars, Tracy Chapman, etc.

Thus, putting down the whole act of college, makes little sense because for the most part, people need their HR depts to stamp 'em for their tasks in the office world.

Exactly. The best sex I had was with escorts. Escorts are the only types of women that actually RESPECT men nowadays in the US. They know what men want, make their own needs reasonable to meet, and are actually pretty cool to be with sometimes. You know, unlike the normal women here. :)

i find this topic hilarious. OP is criticizing education, but yet he doesn't deny any of my points.

Then he makes personal attacks against me even though he knows i'm right. (by agreeing with my main points)

then he contradicts himself by being the biproduct of the educational system even though he criticizes it.

calls people with college degrees "arrogant" but yet he has a BSN (hipocrite)

yeah bro, this topic is pretty funny. Too many contradictions

admit it OP, you are a hipocrite

NO SHIT sherlock, thank you for agreeing with me. Thus, making your criticism against education invalid.

your lack of knowledge on the financial services and stock market baffles me.
You are part of that corrupt system.
corrupt system? Ok then get the f**k out of the USA and go back to the philippines, see how corrupt it is there. Where "bribing" is the part of life, and corruption is a daily thing.
America's healthcare system is a total disaster because people cannot afford health insurance due to pre-existing conditions, lack of employment, and the rising healthcare costs. there are programs out there that give poor people certain medical benefits. You are correct about the medical insurance in the USA, it does suck but think about this... Every thing else in the USA (gdp is the best, free library, cheap demostic transportation, good allocation of taxes, etc). So although health insurance sucks, every thing else is GOOD(better than most countries in the world).

keyboard warrior?

after

1. contradicting yourself
2. making personal insults
3. having lack of knowledge on the business field to jump into conclusions
4. having a negative pre-conceived notion on the government

seriously bro, get the f**k out of america, live in the philippines where corruption is a daily way of life, where there's a surplus of ppl living in boxes.

yeah bro, get a degree in finance and business, maybe you will have more knowledge on this subject, until then. Stick to your own "nursing" expertise

@Sexter, your ideology is in sync with Wall Street bankers. Greed and profits are all that matter to you. When I talk about human suffering of all peoples, you just laugh and make fun of me. You may be a selfish bastard, but I'm not. I actually have decency in my heart. I want to help and improve the Philippines, and you just laugh and want to see it fail. America has twisted your mind that career/finance is the most important over human relationships.

America has 15% unemployment, expensive healthcare for its citizens, a corrupt fascist police force, alienation in society/workplace, and the battle of sexes which is inherently unnatural. America has a lot of great things, but it's far from perfect, and it has a shit ton of issues that you dare not explore. Because you're a coward and can't step up to a real man like me.

You don't tell me what to do. I tell myself what to do. I'm a sucka free boss like rick ross.

f**k your business degree, because nobody gives a f**k. I still make more money than you and I'm a gangster with my pimp flow.

Hello philsophical_filipino,

It's OK to have *rage against the machine* (no, not Chris Cornell's failed band ) but realize this ... if you join one of those fringe_to_mainstream protest/radical groups, and get arrested by the cops for some felony, your options for traveling abroad will be severely curtailed because you'll have a record. Many border checkpoints ask about this & if they see you as a troublemaker, you'll be stateside for a long time.

Thus, remember this, countless others have followed, like you, since as far back as I can remember, ala Reagan era with his dismantling of the unions & cold war spending/deception, however, none of them made a dent in the way things turned out. The USA, along with its allies, are sliding, because the American century, which started with the world wars, is coming to an end. When a former empire reaches the point where its citizens produce very little, the financial economy takes over and you have what you have today.

I followed this thread a bit, and if the Philippines is dependent on no better reasoning ability than the philosopher, they will always be in deep trouble.
At the same time, at 22 years of age, its hard to know exactly what you want. US public education will hardly help you become a critical thinker (or even know what those words mean).

A vast number of Americans have a philosophy that consists of little more than a cut and paste collection of slogans from popular music and bumper stickers.
Thrashing profanity is usually a sign of limited vocabulary and dormant intellect.

Lmao

rich people don't tell people their rich

confident people don't need to tell people their "real men/not a coward/etc"

this argument came from anti-education to anti-business.

You have issues my friend. Your negativity on these forums is apparent. Go out and get laid

oops that's right, you respect women too much to get laid LOL

I admit I'm young and immature. I have a lot of growing up to do. I have so much anger that I can rape a thousand Spanish bitches and then donkey punch a baby panda in the face. I'm an animal rights activist, that's why I love barbeques.

I support revolutionary tactics by the people to bring down an oppressive government. "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." - Thomas Jefferson The government was meant to serve the public interests. The government should fear the people, not the other way around. The Greeks who are rioting over the austerity cuts by their government have MORE BALLS than any of us. They're actually standing up for themselves and fighting a corrupt E.U. establishment.

I never committed a crime in my life. My record is clean. Just because you cowards advocate non-resistance, then you're all just a bunch of fools that want to keep the establishment in power. Revolutionary action is the only method of pure effectiveness to bring dramatic change to the world order.

I declare war on Sexter and I challenge him to hand-to-hand combat. His refusal would be a clear sign of cowardice and he should cut off his balls immediately and turn in his Man Card. Sexter is fat, lazy, and ugly as hell. I can get more p***y than him on my off day.

And yes buddy, I do make more money than you do. I live frugally and I don't spend exorbitant amounts of money to prove my status.

Trolls get shot in the face because I'm a total bad ass. You just can't handle the truth sucka.

I'm not an idiot. I don't want to risk my freedom. Sinister forces are at play to mind-control you and make you into a wage-slave for the corporate overlords.

@Sexter, you have 48 hours to respond to my Mortal Kombat request. I am trained in whoop Ass and kicking talk-shitters in the face.

I'm both, in the black, and make another 25% of my income from Futures. There are no golden cuffs on me.

Wage-slave = work for debt financing only
