130-140 lbs is ideal weight for 5'7" Asian male, with acceptable range in 120-150 lbs without being underweight or overweight.

If you're a body builder, then obviously the scale would be different.

130-140 lbs is ideal weight for 5'7" Asian male.

BMI is pretty much nonsense though. Look at how many UFC fighters and other athletes are 5'7" and weigh much more than that. Some people are built differently. Some guys can carry 200 lb at 5'7" and not look fat either. The entire lightweight division of the UFC is practically guys that are 5'7" and 155 lbs

The thing with Winston is he has poor muscle tone. He keeps saying he has a body of a young William Shatner but without the belly fat but also without any muscle tone. If you look at Winston arms they are thin....way thin and he got a pot belly. A young William Shatner had some decent muscle tone. You can tell by his arm size and mild chest definition. Winston has none of this.


Winston...work out. I mean it. It's going to serious improve your looks by leaps and bound.

Just do something basic nothing hardcore. Start with push up , pull ups and sit ups. Start jogging to lose some of the belly fat. If you need a work out a routine I can point you to one.

I'm curious as to how Winston can be a strict vegan and look like that. He must ingest gummy bears and chocolate milk at a prolific rate. He must be binge/snack eating like crazy to have a pot belly like that.

I'd be surprised if Winston can do 10 proper push ups nose to the ground. Pull ups? :lol: no f***ing way. He needs to start by doing jogging like you said and then working his way to wind sprints. Then after that upper body strength calisthenics like body assisted pull downs and dips. After maybe a month of that he might be able to crank out a couple pullups and look fit.

His body is a f***ing trainwreck though. There's no way he isn't gorging himself everyday to look like that. matriarch Mrs. Wu must be feeding him red been Bao Zhi by the truckload.

Winston is not an athlete, UFC fighter, or body builder.

Japan's Genki Sudo, former MMA fighter, is 5'9" and weight-in at 70 kg (154 lbs) to qualify for MMA's lightweight class (under 155 lbs).

For 5'9" Asian male, the healthy weight range is ~130 lbs to ~160 lbs, and ideal is probably around 140-150 lbs unless if you're a body builder. There are also people who are naturally large-framed, but that wouldn't apply to Winston based on his younger photos.

I think a lot of people fall into a outlier weight category so that BMI can be totally dismissed. a lot of people have issues with the BMI. Actually a lot of MMA and other sports people have complained about it because it doesn't reflect bone density and other physical attributes.

Genki Sudo is your model example but what about Frankie Edgar previous UFC LW belt holder who was 5'6" and only 155 lbs ? He walked at a way higher weight like most feather and LW's but you would never accuse them of being out of shape. Sean Sherk has the same body type too. It's not an anamoly. These guys walk around at much higher bodyweights and cut water. The natural bodyweight of most people is higher than the BMI.

Winston, we aren't saying this to be mean to you but the guys are right, you need to lose 30-40lbs. I'm going to come right out and say it so here goes. Certain people can tolerate sugar in their diets and others can't. Unfortuntely you fall into the later group. If I look at the photos of you touring Russia in your 20s you are moderately handsome. Fast forward to today and your face is rather sickly and bloated looking and it's all a result of too much sugar consumption which has a toxic effect on your looks.

But Winston, you need discipline to eat properly (strict diet of only meats and veggies) and excersize. How bad do you want it? That remains the most pressing question.

Lose 40lbs, cut your hair really short (bald look is in), continue to work on your wardrobe, which by the way looks better of late and your game will improve 200% guaranteed.

1. Frankie Edgar is not Asian. The BMI calculator I posted is specifically for Asians.
2. The vast majority of the population are not body builders, sumo wrestlers, or MMA/UFC fighters.
3. Exceptions do not make the rule for guidelines.
4. BMI is only one of several tools, you can also use waist to hip ratio calculator.
5. Just because most American adults have bigger waists than hips, does not make it natural or healthy.

In all fairness to Winston (and really I have no motivation to be fair to him at this point) I don't think he's as fat as some think he is. Some of you act like he's Orson Welles! But what he has, he really carries poorly. I bet if he lost 20 pounds he'd look very much different; hell even 10 pounds would make him look and feel so much better.

My concern for you Winston is that if you are in this shape at 38 what will you be at 48 or 58. It gets harder as you age as everyone knows.

The idea that at 38 years old he's gonna look like a 140 lb. athlete is nutty. He ought to make himself into a decent, closing in on middle aged guy. Trying to turn him into a UFC fighter or George Clooney will guarantee that he will fail. Let's encourage him to start out with a modest goal first.

I know it's cheesy but we have to cheer him on. How about a contest or something? First person to lose 10 lbs. wins. Something like that. I know Winston isn't the only guy who could stand to lose a few :)

I expected better from you Momopi.

1.BMI has been widely disputed because the results don't reflect any actual real ideal. If you can prove physiological genetic differences between whites, blacks, and asians beyond mere superficial characteristics you'll be up for the nobel prize soon.
2. They are just athletes they aren't superhuman or anything special.
3. Likewise you'll have to prove racial exceptions through sourced genetic research
4. Which is also bunk. Several weightlifting and calisthenics bodybuilding guides have said that it's a worthless metric.

At his age Winston looks like hot garbage. He's 38 and he looks to be 10+ years older than he is. I don't see how you could excuse how fat he is. I'm not excusing him. I'm just saying it's easier to be motivated by a realistic and makable goal than to expect that he will go wild and lose 40-50 pounds.

He's out of control, thats all there is to it. 20 lbs would be doable but he needs to get off his parent's e-z chair and run. The problem is he's from an upper class background and I bet his parents pamper him all the way. Mother Wu doesn't want to hurt his feelings and feeds him cupcakes. Isn't Winston an only child? He's fat and spoiled. His parents have been conditioned to stuff him with flour and sugar. The result is a giant spoiled man-child.

You guys are all forgetting one thing:

The years I lived in the Philippines with all that pain and suffering just for sex, from the heat, humidity, pollution, and bad food, may have taken a toll on my body and appearance too. That might be why I look bad.

But I still have a symmetrical innocent face. I do not look anywhere near as old as Repatriate says I do. f**k him! He probably looks like shit.

Or could the poison from my Mercury fillings be damaging my body?

I am also in a country now where I don't have much fun, can't be myself, do not fit into, and free constantly repressed 24/7 and can't even be myself. And I'm too lazy and weak to even move to do errands.

Plus answering all the silly posts on this forum takes up too much of my time, and easily wastes a whole day or night.

I'm not as weak as you guys think though. I can kick ass in ping pong, and can beat most of you in tennis too. I am skilled in raquet sports and have a good strategy and mental game. I can also beat most people in swimming races, well before I could, don't know about now.

I even beat my friend Stefan in Hawaii in a swimming race in 2006, which surprised him. You can ask him about it.

But I've always sucked totally at football, baseball and basketball. Tennis and swimming are my best sports. I have a good serve and strategic game. I can really angle my forehands and backhands and I have a strong mental game, even if I'm not in shape.

Not making it up. But I have no one to play tennis with in Taiwan and plus, it's too hot and humid to play sports here. I need to live in a colder climate, like Europe or Northern Asia. I don't like to sweat, and Asian heat/humidity constantly make me feel weak, tired and sluggish.

Also, I look thinner in person than you guys think. Let me explain it to you 5 more times since you guys keep FORGETTING TO TAKE THIS INTO ACCOUNT!
