Women-only Train Cars in Japan, No Men Allowed!
Women-only Train Cars in Japan, No Men Allowed!

Kinda like how in the past in America, non-whites weren't allowed in certain places. This is hard evidence that feminism is turning men into second class citizens!
Japan has been undergoing commercialization and urbanization for more than a century now and has been exposed to the West for a long time. They even have their own brand of feminism. Being the most advanced and urbanized Asian country, my fear is that many other Asian countries will one day head the way of Japan. While Japan is probably the worst off, there are many signs that countries like South Korea and Singapore are headed that way. The 'entitled princess' mentality is rife among the women in these countries.
In Singapore (and I think this is the case with quite a few western countries too) there are many clubs where women can enter free or for a lower cover charge while men always have to pay more. On 'ladies' night' in Singapore many clubs offer free or discounted drink prices to women but men once again have to pay the full amount. Some clubs offer free/discounted drinks to women only every night. I know it's a marketing tool but the fact that such discriminatory practices are accepted as mainstream and acceptable marketing tools with no one raising an eyebrow is a symptom of the feminist times. Men are second class citizens in these countries.

I think you have to look at the root cause -- Asian countries are notorious for their shortage of women, because families prefer sons. Today's generation coming of age in Asia is one in which there are 120-130 males per 100 females. It's not really surprising that they're desperate to get women into those lounges.
In terms of Japan, Japan is an aging society and there's not enough young people there, which means there's not enough young girls.

That ratio you cited applies only to China, due to the high rate of abortion of female fetuses as a result of the one-child policy, although this is now increasingly more of a practice in rural than urban areas. But China's a whole different story, the ratios may not be in mens' favor, but as I mentioned in a previous thread, both rural and urban females in China are going after the urban males, which is why you see urban males are actually pretty picky in China.
Socially and culturally though, western feminism and the self-entitled princess mentality has not really penetrated China the way it has penetrated developed Asian countries such as Japan.
You certainly wouldn't see a women-only train car in China. Not for now at least.
It's not really about gender ratios. For instance you could have a 100 girls and ten guys but if the 100 girls all feel independent, self-entitled, hate men and are only after the 1 guy out of those ten who is a billionaire, it wouldn't matter that the gender ratios were even in mens' favor in the first place.
This is far more an issue of social ideology, values, mentalities and mindsets than it is of gender ratios.

Learn how to pick trendy sunglasses to turn into a celebrity. Jeans, white shirt, and cool sneakers would definitely appearance hipper if you have Ray ban 3395 sunglasses on. For celebrities, though, they have another purpose for them: sunglasses can preserve them "safe" from the paparazzi. Sunglasses can be used as disguises or protection mechanism.

It happens in Indonesia as well:ethan_sg wrote:Only women allowed in certain train cars in Japan. See the article below.

And how is this foe entitlement? The women are given two carriages where men are not allowed, and they say they want to exclude men from the whole train. I think they expect men to just walk.

No, because a civilized culture prevents constant flirtation and sexual provocation. Civilization and promiscuity are incompatible. If you look at any old photos of western culture, you will see that men and women naturally segregate themselves. The women were kept pure and suitable as wives. It was a culture of ladies and gentlemen (and prostitutes), unlike our culture of sluts and cads (players).Voice of Reason wrote:Why? Because all men are rapists?
