It sounds intriguing and may be correct or at least an indication of how many people's minds do work. But what's your source - physiology studies, new age science, some branch of spirituality, David Icke, etc.?

So you see, the obstacles are a lot more than you think. Some are external obstacles and others are mental. There are a combination of factors working against you.
This is why most people are not good with managing to do lists or getting things done. Most people go to work, eat, and then are tired and too lazy to do anything else the rest of the day. That's why they have TV's.
So not being able to get things done on a to do list isn't that unusual. Most people aren't good at it. That's why most people don't do much in their lives besides school or work and eating and chatting with friends or watching TV.
It is true that some of the items on my list are not necessary, however a number of the items have been on there for more than a year, and I don't want to leave them hanging there. To do so causes anxiety within me. That's why I can't let them go. Part of my personality is OCD prone too, don't forget that.
Anyway, I posed my to do list problems to my friend and mentor Walt Goodridge, and he is preparing a video response to it, to supplement his book "Living True to Yourself". Here is the intro to his response:
If you move to China, you can pay someone to clean your place, do laundry and you can eat every single meal out. No need to cook. Or you could even hire someone to cook for you if you were picky. Of course it's still cheaper to buy and cook for yourself though.
Even in Taiwan, eating out isn't THAT expensive. Cheap meals can be had for about 70NT, maybe 100NT for something nicer. Although i would spend nearly 130-150NT at the vegetarian places because i have the American habit of overstuffing my plate.

Update:
I was about to leave Taiwan earlier this week. But then I found out that my Taiwanese passport had just expired on Chinese New Year, when all offices were closed for a whole week. Otherwise, I'd be out of here by now. What luck huh? My passport picked the worst time to expire, during a week holiday. Now I got to wait for everything to open up again and put a rush renewal on it. I can't use my US passport to leave because I used my Taiwanese one to enter, so I have to use it to exit as well.

No. I already talked to a travel agency and asked around. You have to use the passport you entered with to leave. That's common sense. I can come back with an American passport, but I can't use it to leave if I didn't come in with it. Come on now. Get real. If I tried to use my US passport to leave, they would ask for the entry stamp and date, because US passports are only allowed to stay in Taiwan for 90 days without an extension.
I'm not going to reveal where I'm going yet, or else dark forces may try to track me down. lol

Anyone who travels much internationally should know that you need 6 months of validity on your passport to enter many other countries or get a visa. Every time u fill in one of those immigration cards, u r asked to provide the expiry date of whatever passport u r using to enter. You should have gotten a new Taiwan passport many months ago. I normally get a new US passport soon after my current one hits it's last year. Why don't u do the same with both of yours instead of putting the blame on outside forces?

My bad time management skills are a factor too. But so is Murphy's Law. Haven't you and Eurobrat noticed that when you badly want something, the universe puts more obstacles in your way and interrupts you more? If you are running toward something you want badly, or are on cloud 9, like in a love story running toward your dream girl, the universe will act to trip you up and get in the way. I'm sure many of you have experienced that. That's Murphy's Law. If you are driving and in a rush, there will be more red lights and cars trying to block you as well.
So when you badly want something, the frequency of obstacles and events blocking you increase. This is not just a coincidence. I've experienced it THOUSANDS of times. Whatever you want to call it, some Murphy's Law type of force definitely exists. Ladislav has experienced it too. It's a real effect, whatever you want to call it.
Look at the big picture dude. Life is complicated these days. There are HUNDREDS of things we have to remember. It's impossible to remember 100 percent of everything! Sheesh. Get real. Do you remember 100 percent of everything? No way.
I already renewed my US Passport, because that's what I was planning on traveling with. But my Taiwan passport was just left in the drawer. I had no reason to take it out and look at it. There are THOUSANDS of objects in this house that I have no reason to pick up and look at. You see what I mean?
With hundreds of issues in my head, including all the many topics on this forum, checking a passport that expires every ten years isn't likely to be on my mind. But in fact, is the furthest thing from my mind. Get real. Be reasonable. No one can remember every little thing.
Hope you see the big picture rather than being a prick. You are supposed to be wise and mature right?
I'm better organized than most people at least. For example, I've never ever locked my keys inside my car or house. Never. I have a foolproof system of making sure that never happens. But everyone else I know has. So I can calculate many things, but not 100 percent of everything.

When you leave Taiwan, where will you go? Here?
I didn't arouse too much interest when I was in the business district of Guangzhou. But now I've moved to the suburbs it's a lot different.
My goodness, foreigners are popular here, everyone wants to be my friend!
As for organisation, well I am the most organised person on the planet. You gotta be pretty organised to move from a 2 bedroom house full of stuff to living out of a 20Kg suitcase. Yet even I managed to leave my credit card back in the London airport!!!

Winston could find some nice ladies here. There are just so many ladies to meet. He just needs to work on his backstory and make girls know he is a successful Taiwanese businessman.
He could definitely hangout here for a long time on his HA earnings - it's so cheap to eat out I see no point in cooking at home.

Winston WTF you can show them the entry stamp on your expired passport. They can't force you to stay inside the country lol!

Why not? So u think they would let him out w/out a passport? So wht's the difference if he's carrying an expired one? Heck, when I leave, not only do I have to show my passport, but I also have to show my resident certificate.
