Absolutely spot on the fact that most those PUA techniques won't work with foreign girls, if anything because much of the (alleged) NLP power of those craftily engineered lines will be lost in translation. I have been in the UK on and off since 1998 and still have hits and misses with conveying a particular tone to my words: humour, irony, sarcasm, assertiveness. In fact, with women, I found that quite the opposite is true: girls absolutely adore that "lost boy" attitude, with a limited vocabulary and clumsy verbal approaches that deeply contrast with the direct, strongly assertive body language that goes straight to the point. I have never been so good with that attitude, as I was always looking for some sort of sophisticated intellectual connection in order to woo the girl. Nonetheless, in my time in London bars and clubs I have seen bucketloads of Italian (and sometimes French and Spanish) studs scoring Brit girls and tourists like crazy by behaving precisely like that.WPO wrote:I have no sympathy for pua either. To me they're full of garbage. What's ironic is the fact american girls/women always end up with them. Therefore, I can't believe a word that comes out of an american girl/women's mouth. They're hypocrites who constantly contradict themselves.
I've also heard roosh pointing out some downsides about other countries. Well hell! Women in other countries don't go for that BS that works in america. That bad boy crap doesn't go anywhere overseas. The only downside is the language difference (which I am more than willing to learn). If you're a bad boy by nature, then going overseas won't be as heavenly as you'd think, simply because foreign women typically go for niceguys. Yes, the dating scene will be a lot easier for guys like roosh, also. BUT, unlike american women who will choose the badboy/a$$hole over the niceguy, the foreigner will choose the niceguy over the badboy/a$$hole. This being said, Roosh's "observations" are a little skewed.
About foreign women choosing nice guys over bad boys, by my experience I can say it's also a matter of age. In places like Colombia, for instance, girls know they have a limited time window to (discreetly) play with the opposite sex. The sexual stage is set on their Quinceañera (15th birthday), when even they parents start recognising them as sexual beings (and show a lot more common sense than some other less Catholic countries) and goes only until their early twenties. Within this time window, anything goes: never-ending romance with a childhood sweetheart, toilet shags after a bout of reggueton and a bottle of aguardiente, the rich family kid in his bedroom, or even a narconiño in his daddy's royal palace. Some of them get pregnant and screw up big time, most of them survive the bootcamp and come out the other end sexually pretty mature and with some clear idea of what kind of man they're looking for. By the time they're 24 and 25, together with their degrees or first work experience, they are already pretty mature and know what to do with their love life. Unless they have turned into nymphos or been badly burned, they usually look for a prospective husband, a nice guy from a good family, a good job and good lifestyle prospects.
I have read both Roosh and Maverick complaining about how hard to get girls from Bogota and Medellin are. Well, that's obvious: they mostly tried to approach single girls in their late twenties to thirties, for whom the average-looking gringo isn't but a pretentious, passing comet.
