Tom Leykis-- Leykis 101

Postby The_Hero_of_Men » Sat Oct 20, 2012 10:50 pm

I live in San Antonio, TX, and I wonder (if he is back on the air) if I can catch Tom Leykis' radio show on any radio station, and if I can not, is there a website where he streams his radio show live?

Now WHY would you wanna listen to him??? His failure rate is 2 divorces and a domestic charge. He's also overweight and a blowhard. He speaks to the selfish and individualism in America.

In my book all net negatives. He does every Blue Moon have something useful to say just like Conservative Politicians and all clocks which are right at some point twice a day.

You SHOULD be listening to podcast that can either save you money or make you money, not tell you sh*t you already know or that marriage is a bad idea based on his failures.

Granted, I don't agree with everything he says, just like I don't agree with everything a lot of you guys say. That doesn't mean I won't listen to him. I an capable of filtering out the BS that he may speak and taking In the gold.

Actually, he has been married and divorced 4 times. He says luckily he had a prenup with every marriage, otherwise he would of been taken to the cleaners by his wives.

He is right when he says that every man should get a prenup before they get married or he says the best thing is to never get married. He also says having kids is a big mistake and will cost a man thousands of dollars a year for at least 18 to 22 years.

He tells people that one person (your marriage partner) cannot fulfill all of your needs. That's why he recommends that people stay single and remain free of being stuck in a relationship with just one person for the rest of your life.

Winston has talked about this as well. He said marriage is like having a millstone around your neck. Winston also said that having kids takes the romance out of the marriage.

I can't decide if I should eventually get married or not. If I don't get married, I might be very lonely and I don't want to be singing this song when I am older.

@James Bond

Do you have saving over 5 digits? Do you own any property? Do you own ANYTHING AT ALL? Prenups have been overturned, don't pretend because you're likely hooking up with a middle class or a lower middle class woman, a talented lawyer can upend the apple cart on you. #F.Lee Bailey

Marry the right woman and stop looking for the flawed legal system to bail you out of your bad decision making.

This fear mongering is getting old.

@Hero

Look dude, I am just trying to help you. Listening to somebody like TL is largely unproductive and you are becoming a member of his peanut gallery/cheerleaders. He is not teaching you anything. I have listen to enough Tom Leykis make the statements I have made and stand by them. You'll get much more useful information out of several of the podcast I subscribe too and none of them spend hours talking about American Women, Relationships or any of that bullsh*t.

You mean to tell me you couldn't use Google to find his web site/podcast and keep it to yourself as to not get criticized?

I should also mention that is the last person anybody should be listening too. Out of his three marriages only ONE came before he became a "Shock Jock" Radio Personality.

He validates many of disaffected White males internal thoughts as well, a bowl full of Not Good.

Tom Leykis is great entertainment with even greater advice. Why no love, djfm? The only gripe I really have with any of his radio shows is that he gives TOO MUCH airtime to dumb AWs. I literally have to turn his show off when an AW caller gets half of his airtime just to bit¢h about the abusive alcoholics she allowed to wear out her pu$sy.

djformoney is one of those guys who watched too many disney films growing up and really believes the marriage happiness myth. just marry the right woman he says. sure hes right until she changes. which most do. but i suspect if djformoney had real assests he would change his thinking. why risk losing half when you dont have to? for love? just stay in a relationship no need to involve the government.

I barely know where to start...

Winston has barely had any successful relationships. That is not a knock, its reality. Based on that, you're ready to listen to him about marriage being a millstone around your neck?

I believe Winston has never tied the knot either, hmmm.

Children do not take sex or romance out of the relationship. Today's adults by and large have time management issues. Winston has not fully disclosed his relationship with Diana either. He (Winston) is self-employed and I am not sure if Diana worked. I also thought Diana came from a relatively poor family (which added friction). Also just because Winston procreated with Diana does not mean she was a good match for him, I am under the impression her pregnancy was unplanned, never a good idea if you have any doubts about the woman you're with.

To me that tells me anything Winston says about relationships should be taken with a grain of salt, especially when his experience is patchy at best.

I do cut him some slack, it took going overseas just to find women interested in him. But I think he would admit to making some mistakes.

When I speak about relationships, I speak from the position that I have had good, loving relationships with attractive women (not just to my eye but to others) and several missed opportunities. I could have been married at least three times, these women didn't cover all the things I wanted and I still feel what I want is fairly minor.

Attractive is loosely defined at best, everybody has a different POV. I also don't want women with historical weight problems. When I decided being 6'1 195-205 lbs was enough, I found a workout plan and diet I could deal with and lost the weight. People that are coddled and protected from poor decisions make more poor decisions.

At 42 even if I don't look that old, I am proud of the fact I have made it this far without any serious mental or physical issues. Women in America who I feel are still are "fresh" are under 32 years of age. Most women down here at this economic level (under 30K a year in earnings) are disasters.

That's what I am single, not because women don't like me, not because women think I'm ugly; The only women that have questioned my looks are argumentative 30 something single mothers that are just mad I won't kiss their ass and fawn all over them. So they attack my looks and use comical and typical shaming tactics.

#SMH

Its simple, if you are a guy that has trouble, for whatever reason, be it economic or physical. You can't change being short, but being fat is correctable and affordable for anybody. You can change being broke, it will take shifting away from the reality as you know it.

You are a man, women largely want MEN, act like one.

Marriage is a business contract, did I say it wasn't? I say its the best for a relationship involving children. I want children, if you don't good for you.

TL made his money being a shock jock and self-promoter not being a brilliant investor, not listening. You don't go to a plumber to fix your car...

Oh so you're saying if I had a house, six digits in the bank and all the other stuff, things would be different? No they wouldn't -

Image

That was just my checking account, not my IRA and not my stock accounts. I still have real assets, money creates more problems. I wasn't about to buy a house in a overheated housing market, turned out I was right (ding, ding). The bottom still hasn't fallen out of the housing market, no reason to rush out and buy "assets" such as a home.

Sorry I see too many relationships where it breaks down and the children are in limbo. Finding the right person is key; So you're saying in other relationships people don't change? So when it directly involves money you turn the world upside-down when considering a business partner or an investor but you don't treat personal relationships the same, you give them a pass?

I find it very interesting that there are classes for business and all other types of relationships but not for personal relationships and relationships with women. We're suppose to take advice from elders who haven't been in the dating marketplace for several decades. Yes there are timeless and enduring tips that can be used in social situations, most people ignore them...

That's perfectly okay you can protect an icon of the MRA movement and attack those that are critical of his antics.

I totally agree.

Tom Leykis is DA MAN! He rules.

As a black man, Tom Leykis is the white father I never had.

Palimony, community property and alimony need to be done away with.

That's part of it, the callers get on my last nerve. But I haven't learned anything from him. He present it from a position that long term relationships are bad business decisions (WTF?).

So enduring relationships, the type that sustains life on this planet are all of a sudden obsolete because society has changed but the people in it, largely haven't???

This is the CRITICAL THOUGHT that is MISSING from any debates about Hetrosexual relationships.

Attacking Misandry with Misogyny is again turning logic on its head.

MRA's are largely "angry men" and what I keep hearing around here is that we should allow this energy to go unused by anything. This proves that the MRA movement will never gain wide acceptance, will largely be a movement of White males with shrinking market share of White women and reluctantly turning to women from other cultures when they have had the run of this country for 300+ years and still do have control.

You would think MRA's would call for the second coming of the Enlightenment but NOOOO, they want to largely return to the 1950's which doesn't work and won't work.

I keep hearing fear of Government interference in relationships, economic activity and education. You would think this fear would be turned into productive action, but its mostly endless whining from the peanut gallery.

Also details, details, details, details.

You can't have an MRA movement without media and the media is largely piss-poor. Either poorly represented or poor chosen personalities.

There is also no unity among the different ethnic groups and I'm going to say this clearly and one more time...

Without any racial unity or the feeling that men of color have something to benefit from by supporting the largely white MRA movement, it will never go anywhere.

I have only known One White Man willing to be the father and father figure to a Black child, good luck with that.

What is wrong with community property? The problems started when the first person put up a fence to protect "his" property...

Alimony/Palimony wouldn't be needed if many and I'll say it White men were responsible. They weren't... They don't care if the Black Community is destroyed.

djformoney the crux of your argument is that marriage is good for kids. i disagree. my parents were married and i was miserable. my mother was a controlling bitch(alcoholic) and was hell to deal with. my best memories of my childhood were when she was gone and it was just my father and my brothers. my divorced friends would complain about their parents being divorced i would laugh tell them to spend some time at my house. i would have killed to spend half of my time away from one parent.

how are white men responsible for destroying marriage? the way i see it we are as much victims as black men. the government i will say is responsible but last time i checked the president is black and they dont really have the interests in white men in mind. women sure but not white men

I don't blame marriage for YOUR miserable existence.

If I have to explain to you how white men in government and in the private sector under self-help, individualism, irresponsible globalism, destruction of the community and environment, then you're really lost.

My mother wasn't an alcoholic, educated at Cal State LA and Georgetown University. She divorced her abusive husband and married my father, who is also the father of my sister. She's worked as RN in the DC area while paying for her education at Georgetown. She got her RN training at Cal State LA.

My father went to San Jose State University, was a high school star running back. He never went to school for Football, he went to Korea instead. After returning to the US instead of going back to rural East Texas, he moved to California where he got involved in the Fremont street racing scene.

After being divorced from my mother for a decade in the early 90's he went back to SJSU to earn a Master's Degree in Geology. He was an operator for PG&E for 25 years before suffering a stroke in the late 90's.

My stepfather has a Mathematics degree from Cal State LA, do you see a connection here? He's retired from the City of Los Angeles.

IE: My home life was not dysfunctional...

However I understand if you had problems at home. Our society does not encourage especially men to seek mental health assistance. I had a good friend commit suicide mainly because he was having difficulty with women. He was overweight and struggled in social situations.

In fact the majority of my friends and my best friend is White, so don't go around thinking I don't know how White people behave in their natural environment. I've been run out of the house of a White girl my Asian friend liked because I was Black but he allowed the Asian man to hang around his tall, attractive, blonde daughter.

But getting back on topic, Marriage is not the catch all for social problems. For me and I am not promoting it to anybody else, this is a choice THEY need to make.

To me marriage shows a level of commitment by both parties but is also a legal binding agreement.

Finally I am not talking too American Women. Now you people can continue screaming, moaning, jumping up and down about AW. I don't date them, I haven't been on a date with one in over three years, that is a choice not me cloaking the fact that I'm ugly, fat, Asian or short or any other excuse men use.

The world is what you make of it, now if you want to whine and complain, that's fine but don't spread that to others because they might not know better and think that's the way to go.

I'll end by saying Society worked just FINE when the majority of the population was married couples and the majority of women were stay-at-home mothers.

Social ills such as Alcoholism were lower.
