Looking at pictures of some of the pua gurus you can see many are not good looking,
T Durden,R Jeffries, N Strauss, D DeAngelo and maybe some others are averge in looks department(for their age), or you could argue RJ is ugly, whatever

They are most likely successfull businessman and have money.


I wonder if they could pick up anytime they go out clubbing or barring where nobody knows who they are(so status doesnt play part)
One thing with these guys you cant deny is that they are extremly good talkers aka bs artists, it can only help you with women
but would it be enough to be able to consistently pull chicks when out clubbing in NY,LA, somewhere in mid west or London



If they can demonstrate to get chicks regulary or every time they go out then perhaps there is something in it

PUA professionals make going out their whole life and sex is a sport. This can also turn them into morally questionable characters.

So the answer is yeah, I've seen it. I tried to become a PUA for a while until I realized I wasn't walking a good path.

Despite what you may believe from reading this forum, you can pickup western / American women in clubs. But a big part is location. Note most PUAs are in Los Angeles. The LA club scene has an abundance of skanky club girls who will go home with a guy if he thinks he might have some spare blow. Sometimes there's even the rare good girl who flaunts her independence by finding a new guy every week and is not looking for drugs or some film producer to make her famous, but this is the big exception.

So get to a trendy LA club and wait until 1 AM, there's a lot of drunk girls, and if you have 1% self esteem you can go grind on the dance floor. Then if you have a hotel room or a place to live closeby just pull her out. Better make her leave the same night though because she's probably crazy and you won't want to deal with her in the morning.

Anyway many 'PUAs' did this a bunch of times, and considered themselves masters of women. The truth is even I could do this if I wanted to, but I don't. I have no motivation. Currently abroad I can meet women without preying on drunk chicks or lying about myself to increase my status or whatever Sex is not that interesting if you're not interested in who you're having sex with.

HA is against PUA and 'game' but lets face it game is nothingmore but another name for being socialable, leraning to be smooth instead of awkward which can potentialy lead to more success,
some PUA artists preach how looks dont matter but its just marketing ploy as most of their customers are average or bellow average

Even if you are overseas and you try to pick up foreign chick you still using the game without even realizing it, by being foreigner you have it easier to disply higher value, you still try to make them laugh by being funny and witty, its easier to be seen as alfa in SE Asia thn in US

Game is real, can these gurus really transfer their knowledge and skills to a student, can you become something different than what you been so far and how much it can help you with women thats another question

I kept hitting a brick wall trying to learn 'game' and how to be smooth...I thought I knew a concept but then some girl would crush my self esteem again and leave me at square one all over again.

But after going to places like Thailand the same stuff I learned suddenly works really well...

If you have NO game ... or you're totally socially clumsy.. you'll have a hard time even in places where it's easy to meet people (southeast asia, east europe etc)... but to learn to be smooth and work out your personality kinks does not take 1000 hours of products and lessons like it may take in America.. maybe just a couple of weeks of taking notes.

The PUA industry thrives so well in America because it's so much harder to socialize, and students of Strauss and others are taught repeatedly to take full responsibility, so after some girl rejects them really badly--it's them, not the girl, so that means it's time to purchase more products and work harder.

But the truth is even the smoothest and best looking people suffer mean-spirited rejection in the USA. The good PUAs learn to plow past it and play it as a numbers game.

I understand why PU is criticized, but I don't think PU is something that can entirely be rejected.

If you look at it in a different way, then it can actually be useful. Use pickup in a way that makes you simply become more confident around women, and learn a little bit about how to talk to them (without bullshitting).

Try to think of pickup as a form of self-improvement…not as a way to become some player.

Exactly! Learn a little bit of pickup, and go to more socially healthy places where women are not so insufferable.

The one skill a PUA artist needs is the ability to sell. If you can't do that, even if you CAN pull chicks like flies to garbage, you won't become a successful PUA and you will be poor.

A lot of PUAs are actually pretty worthless folks... They can't do much, but if they learn that ONE skill... they can make it, even in the high cost-of-living shithole that is NYC. Then all they need is to go to a place full of female trash, like NYC(starting to see a pattern?) and teach you "the game". There's a reason they usually don't go to places like the Midwest, they'll be called out in hours. They need a place where:

-people earn decent income
-females are garbage
-and there are a lot of singles(men that is)

So they can keep up their success, because in the Midwest, they would need to get a REAL JOB instead of scamming people.

Some PUAs with physical products... those people actually have money, like David DeAngelo(or should I say, EBEN PAGAN!? lol) Some of these guys/girls are Jews who are looking for a way to exploit the dumb goyim. Then people start copying them, and there you go. That's how it's been since the '50s(sleezy videos, banking, fashion...). Other PUAs, who don't have a whole lot of money, they stick together and create groups like RSD and give out "boot camp" sessions, where they can earn damn good money just by TALKING TO PEOPLE(if I knew that good money was at stake, I'd hide my shyness too!). They make no real guarantees so they can't be hit with the guilt of being worthless scammers.

You don't even game for... anything! If you're socially-inept, you need an actual strong male figure to help you out, that's all you really need. And those kind of people are free most of the time.

PUA is a huge industry where thers a lot of money , lots of promisses and hype is result of it; turning socially awkward ugly guy into a smooth player is always gonna be challanging.

Its is the same with sites that promote interntional dating including HA, if you read through these websites you'd be thinking all is needed is a passport and world will be yours, super approachable hot chicks everywhere , friendly girls cant wait to be asked out and so on.

WE criticize PUA for hyping up the 'game' but PUA also believes dating abroad is flop for most part as type of women you attract abroad is more into your money than you, gold diggers , p4p and other trashy women with questionable morals


Then you have hybrid PUA/dating abroad guru like Roosh, strictly no p4p, no relationships, just BANGS and leaves.

Pick up skills work!

Serious.

Try being an asshole to a girl instead of a nice guy.

A lot of PUA is just common sense: be sociable, make funny jokes, smile, dress well etc. If you need to pay someone to tell you this then you are a lost cause and you won't make it anywhere.

Picking up women depends on several factors:

1. Location, if you live in the downtown areas you are more likely to meet women looking for a one night stand, the suburbs is usually full of commited women.
2. Location, you need to explore dozens of clubs & bars before you'll find suitable avenues to meet young women.
3. Location, going to a country where feminism is not prevalent will make it a lot easier for you to meet quality women.

So if an average guy suddenly decides to read some PUA (or pay some idiot) and then move out of his parent's basement, dress a bit more fashionable and go out every night hitting on women, he might eventually score and associate his success with PUA although it has nothing to do with it.

Also, PUA BS is only aimed at getting women to sleep with you, sex is the final goal. It's not a solution to the lack of values in Western society, it's merely playing by the rules. What happens when you want more than just sex ? There is no trick to transform someone from trash to gold. You can be the most attractive, sociable, rich guy on the planet, you're not gonna find a wife in a brothel.
