weight loss programs are a joke. Just like you said, it's not rocket science. It's very easy to lose weight and it's not about starving yourself. Starving yourself and not eating is the easiest way to gain weight. The reason being is that when you start eating less, your body goes into starvation mode and the metabolism drops dramatically. Your body is trying to utilize and save as much fat as possible to stay alive. The moment you start eating more than what they did on the so called "diet", the body is still in starvation mode and everything extra you are eating just stores as fat and you get back right to where you were. This is why diet programs are stupid and never work. This is also why you see the people who use these programs lose weight but they get it all back, and more over time. You can only go so long by starving yourself before you give in again.

You MUST eat to lose weight. Your body needs to have that metabolism going. And when I say you must eat, I'm not talking about eating loads of crap. There are many healthy ways of eating and stimulating the metabolism. I'm not going to talk about all that now since that's a whole new topic but the point is that your body needs the metabolism going to keep burning fat. When you exercise and eat right, your metabolism starts to crank up and that's how you lose fat and most importantly, KEEP IT OFF.

It helps that Italian food, even the stuff you can buy at the train station cafe, doesn't usually contain the insane amount of processed, derivative ingredients as what you find in the US or the UK.

Winston is not fat, his facial features give off the impression he MAY be overweight but isn't.

I have given that impression to women before as well, it just depends.

Cameras add the illusion of weight to people as well.

Yeah Banano, its 2013, can we at least push Winston bashing till the Summer?

Good point about diet programs. The only one that seems to work consistently is the Atkins Diet, but you have to eat meat to utilize that effectively.

But you don't have to exercise by going to the gym or jogging. You just need an active lifestyle in which you are constantly MOVING rather than sitting. That's why people in NYC who walk all day are thinner than most Americans. When I was in Russia, I was a lot thinner too, because I walked everyday. You can see that in my photos there.

It's not just the burger, but also enough thick-cut french fries that adds up to a potato, and the strawberry basil lemonade.

Burger: ~1,000 calories
Lemonade: ~150 calories (I get refills too)
Thick-cut fries: ~750 calories

If I eat the whole thing and get 1 refill on the drink, that probably adds up to 2,000 calories just for lunch. Considering that I sit in the office all day, I can only eat 2,000 calories of food per day without getting fat. So um, drink water for breakfast, eat big burger combo for lunch, and drink water for dinner?

The diet I followed was simple. I lost over 30lbs. I wasn't seriously overweight anyway. You can find it on Bodybuilders.com I also did the workout plan. Not for the entire I think its 90 days but closer to 60 days. I reached my goal because to be any lighter means I get less money for my plasma, I would be limited to how much I can donate. I think its 800cc now..

Also the gym membership was costing me money. I decided to cut that from the budget as my only recurring cost. I saved $180, despite playing $120 to cancel the contract.

I am looking for something I can use at home. I liked busting weights though so I don't know if using only my body weight is sexy enough for me to do a basic workout. Push ups might get the job done however.

You're kidding right? Europeans are fat as f**k. They consume too much red meats, sweets and all sorts of junk foods.
