It is a case if 'Chris Kyle Mathematics'

5 medals turn out to be 7, 200 registered kills turns out to be a million, shouting abuse from a 100 meters away at Jesse Ventura turns out to breaking his jaw yada yada yada.

Chris Kyle had no need to lie to anyone about anything but he did it anyway, a lot of men do.

Did the OP's brother f**k 300 women back in the 80's - I doubt it, people were actually scared of the AIDS epidemic - people were especially careful from around 1983-88 as there were ad campaigns in the UK telling everyone 'one in three people will die of AIDS' or 'Someone in your family will die of AIDS' and of course 'wear a condom - don't die of ignorance'

The truth is more likely he f***ed 50 women and most of them would have been pigs you wouldn't give a second glance to.

I was in my 20's in the 1980's. Heterosexuals were not afraid of AIDS, other than people who used (and still use) VDs as an excuse to avoid sex for other reasons that they can't acknowledge. It was common for friends of mine then to meet a new girl at the bars every weekend. I know they were meeting girls because I was roommates and I'd see a new girl in their bed every weekend. And these girls weren't pigs. 50/year * 10 years = 500. Though few guys persisted in meeting new girls every week for 10 years, plus this only works in big cities, since otherwise you run through all the slutty girls quickly. Normally, guys settle down after a while, then start the nightclub thing again after a breakup/divorce. Normal guys aren't looking for high notch count as an end in itself. That's an RVF circle jerker thing.

My own notch count was 0 until age 27, then slowly increased thereafter. I knew I was in great danger of being suckered into the beta provider role due to my high income and lack of skills at managing women then, so I stuck to masturbation. I would have like to have gone with quality prostitutes, but I was a cheapskate plus prostitution was illegal and I didn't have the time to figure out how to get access to illegal escorts. Plus I had a security clearance and had to take lie detector tests where they would ask if I done anything illegal. Also, I had the sense then, as now, to recognize that real sex wasn't that much better than masturbation.

I think the situation is actually easier today PROVIDED you are in the elite group: good-looking fraternity type guys with money. Those guys always had it easy but their advantage is greater now due to: hypergamy; more girls than boys in universities; financial difficulties of the average millennial girl; hookup culture; social media. Those guys done even need to bother with nightclubs. Just order up delivery p***y via Tinder. Possible to run up a notch count of 300 per year for those guys.

Now, that is a very unscientific claim right there Frank - is that ALL heterosexuals? Some? None? Because until around 1990 - when it was discovered that heterosexuals were at little risk of catching AIDS - the given narrative of the time was that ANYONE having unprotected sex was at risk - and if you were living in the UK like the OP, the narrative from the government was shite like 'Everyone will know someone who has AIDS' stuff like that, now you might have not been scared of catching AIDS but to say everyone else wasn't - is well, hyperbole to put it politely.
