Things I noticed stepping off the plane:

1. LOUD UGLY WOMEN. My God! There was a huge line at the customs and guess how many young good looking women did I see? One! She was a black American girl, more or less well dressed. Yeah, there was about 200 high school kids in the line around 16-17 years old, lots of young girls. How many of this girls were good looking? ZERO! And try going to Ukrainian high school, how many good looking girls will you see? Around 80%!

Why the f**k all American girls wear messy clothes, have their ugly greasy ponytails and sloppy faces with acne and absolutely no make-up? Just looking at them makes me wanna puke. They act like they own the world, their faces ARE SO DAMN stupid though!

2. LONELY PEOPLE. You can just see in people's faces that they are alone in the crowd. I NEVER FELT that in Russia/Ukraine/CIS countries at all! Even when you are in the city, you know strangers are available for a contact, almost ALL of them are virtually available.

3. NO ONE MAKES EYE CONTACT. Girls in Russia/Ukraine make eye contact ALL THE TIME. They also look at you as a value material, meaning they evaluate you as a possible boyfriend - you CAN READ it in their eyes! AND I LOVED IT! I felt like a pretty girl in America! That's probably how good looking women feel in America, wanted by everyone all the time, I have to say I love it and want to have it in my life all the time.

4. TERRIBLE FOOD. And I mean absolutely HORRIBLE! Driving around suburbs all I see is McDonald's, Burger King and if you get lucky, some Asian buffet which also makes their food from processed frozen cheap crap. Ukraine has just a few chain restaurants, other cafes and restaurants are locally owned and cook from scratch and cost is very cheap! I just loved it there.

5. f***ed UP PERSONALITIES. EVERY AMERICAN IS f***ed UP ON THE OUTSIDE! Every person I look at in the U.S. cannot be described as "normal". WTF is going on? Guys wear skinny jeans, act "hipster-gay-cool" wanna be and that's considered "cultured"???!!! What's up with wearing brown jackets and purple pants? I mean, who the f**k does this anywhere in the world??? So f***ed up!!! Girls wear baggy pants, sweatshirts and ugly plain flip flops or slippers! Where is the dress shoes??? HELLO! When I was flying out of Ukraine most girls were fixing their hair and putting on make-up before leaving the plane, so they look good for the crowd. EVERY single one of them was wearing dress shoes, most on high heels. NOW THAT'S what I am talking about!

6. TEXTING, iPods, E-Books. EVERYONE HAS ONE! These people have no life, I swear! Everyone is reading, clicking their iPod or texting on their smartphone. NEVER SEEING THIS in Russia/Ukraine/CIS! Even I look weird when I text for a long time while I am in the bar/club/restaurant abroad, people take it offensive and blame me for not caring for them. Isn't that true? So I was not texting much when I was in the U.S. and almost never browsed the internet on my phone, but now since I did not do it for so long coming back to the U.S. seeing that is just SHOCKING. People have no life besides their bubble on the internet.

7. WHY WHY WHY DID I COME BACK??? I was living in the dream, now I am in the nightmare once again... But it is all good, I am going back soon. I am not staying here, NO WAY!
^. is extremely true. It seems like there is no actual culture anymore. Someone mentioned in another thread how people used to go to arcades or stuff like that, but anymore that is dead and gone. It kind of bugs me in the sense of how are you ever supposed to meet anyone in public if that is all they are doing? Sad state of affairs. In addition, at least i my town, it seems like everyone is already settled. Not trying to bitch, but it's true. And then people say do something you like. Ok... like? The only things here are the movies, museum, fishing, walking around, and a half dead mal. And don't even get me started on churches :D . There is also school, a beach, and maybe being stuck playing video games if you don't have anyone to hang with.
See, dude. This is where you download Quake III (you know where to go to get it) on your PC, and play Multiplayer Network and play people around the world. Great game. I can tell you how to config your game so that you'd have the optimal, gaming experience. Or if you have a MAC, you can go to QuakeLive (dot) com and go ahead play until your heart's content. ツ

UPDATE & P.S.: My Quake III gamer name is "Django Dorner" if anybody wants to battle me LOL

I hate to say it but I have found this true and stepped back into video games since this recession started. Also learning languages has become a new great past time for me.
Excellent stuff, EuroBrat. Are you focusing on Italian? If there were not a recession, it wouldn't matter I'm sorry to say; women are still showing their a.ss (figuratively unfortunately) in the U.S. of Gay. Focusing on thyself for wealth is the creed to take heed to.

too boring

Post by dreamer82 »

One thing I think that has been overlooked is zoning. In America, everything is hyper-organized and zoned. Residences have to be separated from shopping and industry has to be isolated in it's area. So we have to have a car to get between all these areas and nobody walks around. It's all described in a great book called "The Geography of Nowhere" by James Kunstler. Americas architecture is hideous and everything looks the same whether you're in LA or Atlanta: the same freeway exits with the fast food joints and the walmarts.

American cities and towns are mostly not walkable and not built for pedestrians like all the other non-Western countries.

Yeah and it's illegal in most parts of American to have a non-corporate concession stand.
Shi.t go to Latin America, SEA (especially Thailand), there are concession stands TWENTY-FOUR FU.CKING SEVEN THREE SIXTY FIVE
in the streets EVEN IN 2ND AND 3RD-TIER CITIES/TOWNS in those aforementioned parts of the world!

Even though Thailand is ladened with 7-Elevens, they sell their own Thai products which are tastier than the stuff you'd find in 7-Elevens
in the U.S. of Gay.

Bolivia have salchicha (think a special type of hot dog) con papas fritas (french fries) stands in the lower tropical region of the country, and they never shutdown!
They have their friends and/or family members bring the redistribution so they don't have to close down in order to re-stock.

Especially when one is done smashing some p.ussy and wants to keep building rapport with the chick, at e.g, 3:39am, he would want to bring his girl some eats to revitalize themselves.
America-ly-speaking, you'd have to wait for Jack In The Crack to offer a Teriyaki Bowl at 8am because they don't serve it after 2am or
in the SE part, there's Waffle Houses (which I really don't like) or the once-was-really-good IHOP. *shrug* Estoy encogiendome por hombros!

Yes and German and Spanish. I have no inclination to learn asian languages and all the slavic countries will just eventually speak english.

What do you mean women are still showing their a**? I'm noticing girls getting fatter and more entitled every year. They also seem to be getting more miserable each year, what a great job feminism has done for this country.

I'm feeling like the wealth part is beginning to be a lie. It's definitely harder now than it use to be. What a shitty time for us to be in for this country.
Two things that I need to address:

(1) Showing one's a.ss means that a person is acting out of control in a way that would annoy and/or disrespect you by.

(2) I didn't mean to say wealth as in money-richness. I mean that you would grow in knowledge and possibly spiritually (e.g. become self-aware and just cognizant of life en route to being a "wise old man" but not an old man yet). I hope I have clarified that well for you.

You're right. I'm speaking a chick-a-dee in Macedonia now, and she speaks English decently for the most part although she makes spelling errors half of the time.

Sorry to say this folks, but for me, the only problem with America is the presence of AWs.

Other than that, I've fully adjusted [to not being abroad] and have a full schedule of extracurricular activities and work to be performed. I get plenty of human contact but at the same time, people respect my privacy. The number of Wendy's, KFC's, or what have you, don't bother me, as they're rather convenient esp when you're on the road and don't know your local diner or pub/hub food places in town.

AWs, on the other hand, are a bunch of dumb @ss losers, who spend their lives trying to pull people down around themselves.

If you eliminated AWs (ship 'em to Saudi Arabia), legalize esc@rting, then America would be a perfectly all right place for me to live in.
Many years ago, the Best Picture of 1999, "American Beauty", telegraphed the message of Happier Abroad to the world.

Beware of long term engagements with AWs, you may find yourself in a coffin.

AB discussion thread

BTW, despite settling down with an AW, myself, the warning is still in effect.

Do you think if they were to legalize escorting, that it would be cheaper at POS?

Other than Piece of Sh*t, what's the other definition for POS?

Ok then, the day-to-day business dynamics of US cities is not too distinct from let's say Toronto ON, up in Canada.

Here's the online NOW magazine of metro Toronto. That'll pretty much end up being the model for American cities, from Boston to Miami, Chicago to Houston, & Seattle to San Diego. Sorry if I missed anyone's town in there

Aozora13 & S_Parc: you guys got it. POS would both mean point-of-sale and piece-of-sh.it alike lol

Yeah so basically N. America is toast either way.
