Re: My Story on Thinking Housewife Blog
Great post.
I completely concur, and have experienced, exactly what you wrote here.
BTW, I don't think "falling in love with an image" is limited to Gauguin beauties. (Not that you said it was.) I married a White girl, also based on image, superficial appeal, warmth, etc. A few values in common, but many unstated/dormant values totally different. In hindsight, someone with exactly my racial and cultural mix would have been an easier fit. Marrying out because of dissatisfaction with one's own is dangerous.
I'm all for your interest in EE girls, fine, although selfishly I hope a few of us can cross paths in Paraguay or elsewhere in LA one day. BUT - if ChiCom restriction on children bothers you - and otherwise you would consider China - then why not Singapore? You and Jim Rogers...

Miscegenation has resulted in the gift of intelligence for me and I have no self loathing. Still I would not recommend it to anyone. Any future marriage and children I have will be products of miscegenation by default. ....I want a family to provide meaning to my work, but more importantly better prospects for a future heir.
