FTC Gets Tons of Complaints Against Dating Sites...

Postby ssjparris » Thu Mar 28, 2013 5:36 am

here is an article that proves we are right about dating sites...read below....

The FTC has been in the news lately in the performance marketing industry, but it turns out there is one industry that is really receiving a lot of complaints: the dating industry. According to a recent Freedom of Information Act request, it seems that in the last few years thousands and consumers have received thousands of complaints against dating sites.

While a lot of those complaints were about consumers being scammed by other users trying to get them to send money or complaints about billing practices, it seems that an unusual amount of complaints were about a common issue with dating: no one wanted to go out with some of the users.

It's really rather funny...

"Yes, the FTC has received complaints from consumers that can’t get dates, even on dating sites. For whatever reason, people have decided to turn to a government agency to complain that basically that they were too ugly or too uninteresting to get dates from a variety of sites.

One user complained to the FTC about eHarmony, saying that “Out of thousands of lesbians across the United States nobody sent me a hello or wonk [sic].â€￾ Rejection sucks, but turning to a Federal Agency to help you with your dating problems seem a little excessive, no?"

@Anti-American, yes, FTC is the Federal Trade Commission.
@OutWest, they vote and reproduce.! It's only funny if you're a safe distance away.

well i think the men feel powerless so they want some "power" to come and change it. but ofcourse the society has to change itself to end this dating nightmare.

alot of men dont want to date foreign women or do foreign online sites.

i have talked to foreign women online and they just CANT believe what i tell them about america dating weak friendships.
oh well.

From 2005
Online daters sue Match.com, Yahoo for fraud
Match.com, a unit of IAC/Interactive Corp., is accused in a federal lawsuit of goading members into renewing their subscriptions through bogus romantic e-mails sent out by company employees. In some instances, the suit contends, people on the Match payroll even went on sham dates with subscribers as a marketing ploy.
