This forum is completely dead. I think it will slowly die along with the US$. The reason is there's too many cliques and too much white-knighting. For example the thread about GINGER - she's "gone" and she had to make it into a big drama. Whoopti-do! What about all the men who've gone like Grunt and Discoprojoe? No-one cared or started a thread making them feel they were welcome or even missed. This is why I've stopped posting because too may people are selfish a$$holes and I can't take it anymore.
I've only logged-in today to post this answer to this thread and I'm not expecting anyone to understand and there's no-body with a heart left here as far as I can see,
"Woman is a violent and uncontrolled animal... If you allow them to achieve complete equality with men, do you think they will be easier to live with? Not at all. Once they have achieved equality, they will be your masters." Cato the Elder
It could be good if it got back to its roots. Some more success stories of men who make it abroad would be good. And maybe there will be another success story fairly soon...

I grew up on a farm, so while I may be a little rusty on some things like butchering large animals and long range shooting, it would seem we would agree that I'm exactly the kind of real man people are going to want to associate with when TSHTF.
Ghost, we had one of those today with dudevondudenstein.
Devil Dog is just mentally castrated. He has phantom limb syndrome, so he's using guns as a prosthetic.
"Look at my guns guys! My dick is two feet long!"
Great idea G-girl, lol.
The forum needs more encouraging posts and more lifestyle abroad threads. Enough of the whoring escapades and women-bashing. Being happier abroad is more than mental masturbation and getting laid with hoes.
Its Rock who makes threads about her and introduced her to the forum, factor in Winston too lol. May be u should make threads about new male members an long gone male members lol.
Maybe all the problems would be solved if Odbo would just come back, lol.
I also miss Globetrotter even tho he kinda lost it in his reincarnated version(s). Rural China musta done a number on him.
And I miss Jeygonza, Pinay Teacher, and Bella Ruth, tho the first 2 dropped off before getting very far here.
Even OilTrader was fun sometimes but Winston exposed him and scared him off for good.
O and my favorite, Repatriate. I wish he would come back even tho he was Winston's nemesis. I considered him the best Thailand specialist on the forum.
Who else am I forgetting?
The posters here vary widely in both age and experience. I don't recall how much you have lived in the back country or similar 3rd world countries, but the experience is pretty helpful to all of the above if you are paying attention.
Now a young fellow like David lacks life experience, but I think he learns easily. If one has lived on the land in someplace like Navaho County AZ, you are a lot more likely to be proficient. Probably more than 50% of my friends there have done all of the above and then some. When I am back in the USA, that is where I call home, and it is one hell of a long ways from New Jersey or whatever.
In the kind of environment, we all pretty much are packing, and we tend to like the good stuff. It's a good place to keep an arsenal..(Kinda hard to keep it in the Philippines) it's "Friendly territory" for that kind of thing. I do not think I am exceptional among my peers- most of us are proficient up to 50 cal. Within the Philippines one has to be careful with what they do with weapons, but my AFP friends here keep me tuned up and someone seems to have left an Armalite at my house here...LOL just in case any rodents show up.
Within the USA, a good carry gun is the Taurus Tracker. Its slim for the 44 mag- a 5 shot revolver, but it is damned convincing in a pinch. For the back country I have a 454 C but I think it is overkill for most things. A 270 Remington is my best open country hunting rife- at least 25 years old and a bolt action, but shoots flat and long like a champ.
Last year when I was back in AZ, picked up a Serbu, the BFG-50A, which my wife thinks is very cool- but I would never tell her what it cost! LOL I took it out in some real open country and I have to say it is incredible, but I sure would not want to pack it far at around 25 pounds as I have it equipped, but really it is a blast to shoot.
I wonder if someone might put together a boot camp for survival skills...might help some good men.
Misamis Oriental, Mindanao.
PS: At least drop them a hint...like don't bother planting the seeds from your hybrid tomato plants....

But what's the point of those who HAVE success stories posting them? Like Xiongmao said, either no one is really interested in that, as they'd rather complain about women at home, or it just leads to attacks, flaming and racism. I tried to give this place another chance, but it keeps getting worse and worse. I believe my next post will my last...
Really popular in South Korea.
I always like reading them and I also like reading your posts. Why does there have to be division? I'll read a trip report or a post complaining about Feminism and I'll learn from both. They both have value to me and I think they both contribute to the cause.
Factionalism is stupid. Sometimes people need reminders of how bad things are in the West in order to not fall back into bad habits.
If you expect everything you post to be met with nothing but effusive praise to massage your ego then that may be a bit naive and not really conducive to your learning anything. Are you sure forums are really your thing? Not all mediums suit everyone.
