Are American cops one of the worst cops in the world

Postby Mr.Darcy » August 19th, 2013, 7:47 pm

I feel like they are more out to get me rather than to protect me. I was arrested one time because I peed on a trash can in a dark alley.

It really depends on what part of town you are in. For the most part, cops have huge power trips and are dicks. In smaller towns with low crime, they tend to be the ones to do a lot of harassing because there is nothing better to do...they're simply bored. In the more busy cities with more crime, it's a little different. They're not going to waste their time on small petty stuff since they have other more important calls to go to. I don't hate all cops but most can be rude.

I believe that American cops are one of the worst but again that all depends. If you're an American tourist going to a foreign country, you best believe that there will be some crooked cops looking to prey on you and extort money. It happens all the time. But if you compare being a local, being American dealing with American cops is probably one of the worst.

What was their reasoning behind the arrest? What type of neighborhood was it?

They're lazy, that's for sure. I remember once when they responded to a noise complaint and found a bunch of high school students having a party with beer. But they didn't do anything about it.They probably just didn't want to deal with the paperwork.

Another time I got pulled over for not wearing my seat belt. Because I had an out-of-state license, the cop accused me of having a fake license. It was a good thing for me that he finally found a record of my license on his computer, I could have been arrested.
