Depends what kind of person you are. If you're talking about having male foreign friends, then friends are pretty much overrated. Especially if you're an independent lone wolf type. And if you're married or have a GF, then you won't have much need for friends, except for business, or unless you're into group activities, which you don't really need friends for anyway. Or maybe if you're unusually social and gabby like a chick or a fag, you might want to seek out friends. Once you hit adulthood, you realize friends come and go, and everything in this world is temporary. Solitude is the way to go, if you ask me.
