WTF #Nostalgia Philippines In Houston TEXAS??
Posted: January 24th, 2014, 4:18 pm
So I was walking down S. Main street here in Houston, and I ran into the HOliday Inn at Kirby and S. Main right?
Then to my surprise I look to my left, there is a GOD.D.A.M.N JOLLIBEE'S
I have not seen nor eaten at a Jollibees in 5 years since I was last in the Philippines!!!!!
I said to myself that I have to go just to see if the food were the same as I remembered it.
So then I checked into the Holiday...first room had a ghetto heater in it because the big-a.ss A/C-Heater hybrid wasn't working
(Yeah these rooms are $143 per night)
So I b.itched and they put me in another room. The new room had a 2-person jacuzzi.
I went back out to run on over to the Jollibee's and when I walked in there, I saw the menu.
It had Filipino-styled spaghetti, aloha burger, fried chicken meal combos out the a.ss,
The prices were FOUR TIMES the amount you would pay in the Philippines!!
AND ALL THE WORKERS WERE PINOY & PINAY. All speaking Tagalog I kid you the f.uck not!!!
And there was an honorary middle-aged dark-skinned Black man sitting at the table with a Filpina MILF (as if I were back in Angeles City seeing a Black guy hitting on a Pinay bargirl at a table in Fresa's bar). #IdiedAwakeInMySleepLOLing with the most revealing smirk ever! - because it's like I literally stepped into a Jollibee's in Makati easily.
The only thing that looked out of place was the Black woman there with a smirk on her face to gnawing on her chicken. Like how often you see a Black American woman in the Philippines?!?!
So I tried to whip out my smartphone and to my dismay, the battery was kuh-puht! If I had taken the pic, nostalgia would have hit you guys upside the brain!! (except no signs were in Tagalog like they have in the Philippines, but their advertisements around the restaurant had Filipinas with bleached skin looking almost Korean smiling touting about Jollibee's chicken and what not).
So I got into a conversation with the one with braces and she looked alright. Mind you: she didn't turn around yet to check on my order.
So I ordered and I asked her if the Jollibee's food better here or in the Philippines; she said back home. She was happy that I knew so much about the Philippines in our conversation.
So she saw me just gawking at everybody and everything in Jollibee's that she was staring at me with a smile and a chuckle. She knew I was in a state of nostalgia taking it back in.
She turned around to get my order, she had thicky thighs, hips, and you can see her pantie line screaming outside the back of her tight-a.s.s. uniform work pants.
With my take-out, I stepped back outside the door of Jollibee's as I heard shy Filipina laughs and chuckles (maybe one of them thinks I'm gwapo?) and realized I was in Houston again. We really do have a problem: I need to go back abroad again and soon!
Houston has a sizable Filipino population!!!!! Damn!! Kai #1 was right; Houston is wayyyyyyyyyyyy more international than Dallas any day of the week.
I was laughing to myself again as I was thinking about you guys and how you guys are Philippine-o-philes.
Here's a pic of my take-out order back at the hotel:
