Ukrainians are more reserved and serious. They are also more intellectual and educated. Sometimes having more knowledge makes you more pessimistic. And they are pessimistic about their country's economy and future.

Filipinos are more simple and cheerful. Maybe the warm weather makes people happier? People with brown skin tend to be relaxed and just let be. They tend to seek harmony and aren't judgmental like whites are. This seems to be a universal pattern. The Native Americans were like that too.

And no, I don't regrets marrying a Filipina despite "their ways". As Outwest said it's not for everyone and cleArly not for you.

Moron? There you go AGAIN! Using the M word. Some people are ALWAYS the chump in any poker game. Why is that? Others...could pull 4 aces in a game of checkers...

However- the Philippines, that is, to LIVE there...is clearly not for most. So what. Go back, marry that sweet girl in Georgia and kwitcherbitchen.

Yet, despite the similar GDP per capita, PI is widely regarded as a much more welcoming country.
What are the reasons for this? Greater wealth disparity? A culture that idolizes America and the West may be one major reason. What do you guys think?

I say because for a long time the Philippines has always seen an influx of foreigners. Also, the weather plays a huge role in personal demeanor. In warm tropical places, people tend to be much nicer and happier compared to people who live in cold harsh climates.

This gets into why Europeans and NE Asians have much higher IQ's on average then any other race and are more organized. The theory is called climate adaptability, and in so many words, Europeans and NE Asians are smarter and more organized simply because they had to be in order to survive in such cold regions.
