Reading List for the Summer?

Postby zacb » Mon Jun 23, 2014 11:07 pm

Any particular books you want to read this summer? Here is mine:

1. Wealth of Nations
2. Mutual Aid
3. Zurich Axioms
4. Meditations
5. Richest Man in Babylon

Any suggestions? I have over 800 books on Goodreads, but those are what I am aiming at (the ones above).

Have read #5, and can definitely vouch for it. A GREAT explanation of the difference between being good at your particulr craft, and getting rich. ("The Protocols Of The Elders Of Zion" is also good in this regard, but "Richest Man In Babylon" is a lot more fun to read.) Should be required reading for every young man in the world, along with the Bible, and "Think and Grow Rich".

Have read excerpts of #1, and can definitely vouch for what I did read. NOT the plain-jane doctrinaire Libertarianism-with-a-capital-L that you get on the internet from slavish devotees of "von Hayek".

Numbers 2, 3 and 4 sound interesting, please consider posting more info, or your reactions/reviews afterward.
