Great post!

"Irreverent" is an understatement.

Yeah you need to send your son a copy of that film, or at least the coffee can seen.

There is another movie with coffee cans, "The Bucket List". A bit more respectful.
"Well actually, she's not REALLY my daughter. But she does like to call me Daddy... at certain moments..."

Thanks Jester. To top it off, my son, after being relieved that he probably wouldn't have to buy the urn asked me what I wanted done with the ashes because, "I'm not taking them to the Philippines or Africa, if that's what you want." I assured him that Janet would take care of things. Aren't kids great :)

He's 18 and smart but hasn't yet put it together that I will be out of Dodge long before my demise.

Still the fact that he is thinking about such things is, in a way, a sign of adult responsibility.

And I can't really blame him for avoiding the Walter role.

It was a fun conversation and I don't blame him a bit for any of it. He's frugal with his money which I think in the future is a very good thing. Janet laughed hysterically when I relayed the conversation - that in itself made it all worth it.
