Good Morning!

I have read several articles

in the past few months that Macao is already the new Vegas? I've been planning to go Macao next year but I'm still not sure. When comparing the hotels in Las Vegas and the hotels in Macau, Las Vegas still seems to have some flair that Macau hasn't achieved so far. The same applies for the casinos. Compare the Bellagio and the Grand Casino in Macao then you see the bellagio has way more flair. It is just something that Macao will probably get in 20-30 years but does not yet have...

Anyone been to both and can tell pros and cons? Cheers

Macao casinos are LARGER than Vegas, but probably more male-oriented, hence not the same vibe needed as couples-friendly Vegas.

So no doubt you're right about the lack of atmosphere.

But...

I have the impression that Macao has brothels that are much classier and luxurious than anything else (publicly available) in the world.

Drinks, cigars, footrubs, etc............. all before the "main course".

First of all, boinking is legal in Macao.

That in itself, makes it orthogonal to a strip tease capital, where yes, it's possible to avoid a dragnet, but Vegas PD do conduct routine busts on soliciting. It's legal, starting in Pahrump NV.

At the same time, a casino atmosphere is exactly that, a gaming room. So why bother with Vegas, when you can play Texas Hold 'em in Macao and boink a beautiful gal without her flashing her PD badge and putting the cuffs on you?

I plan on visiting Macau in the near future. All I know is that the country is pretty small, and filled-with Portuguese cultural influences (from the buildings to the food).

The casinos sound like fun, but I don't think you'll get the same atmosphere as you do in Vegas; it's more of a serious gambler's paradise than a party town.

There are building the so called "Cotai Strip" in the area between Taipa (one of the main islands) and Coloane. The casinos being built now, and opening in the near future, will resemble more the resorts on the Las Vegas strip, then they do now. I would like to visit around 2016, when most of them will be open by then.

Here's a good website to learn more about Macau casinos:

Isn't Macau just a gigantic money laundering scheme?

"Rich" Chinese thieves are desperate to take that which is not theirs out of China and move it to America or Canada. To do this they "cash out" the chips they purchased in RMB into foreign currencies.

I was in Macau few years back on my way to Philippines.

The Saunas are incredible. Every man must visit Macau Saunas once. Try Sauna 18. 100s of super hot girls to choose from. One could stay there for 24 hours, free food, you will be pampered to death. However, its expensive compared to similar life style in Thailand but you get exceptional quality in Macau.

Just enjoy for few days in Macau and then go to Philippines and stay longer. A complete Asian trip.

I don't know why people don't include Macau + Philippines in their tour when coming from America/Europe = Its Perfect = You would get the best quality of Asian women ever created on earth in Macau + Philippines is cheap and good beach destination + night life.
