Less than 48 hours to go...

Hey all.

In less than 48 hours I will begin my Exodus. My cars are long gone, my furniture is beginning to disappear, and in less than 24 hours the house I am renting will be nothing but an empty shell with only a mattress, some sheets, my backpack, and the few odds & ends I am bringing with me in my car left remaining.

The last few years of my life have been one hell of a ride. From the collapse of my old life, loss of my former wife and family, and everything I have ever known and loved, comes the rebirth that I am now going through. Like the Phoenix, I have arisen from the ashes of my "death" and am starting anew.

I have started a site to document my journeys in Latin America and beyond, and if it's not against the rules, I would like to post the link to it. I want to share it with everybody, in hopes that others can enjoy and be inspired by what I post.

I know that Happier Abroad is most dedicated to finding love and female companionship, of whatever kind you seek, abroad... however, female companionship is the last thing I care about now. I want to immerse myself in other cultures and let love find me on its own when it is time. It is still a big part of why I am leaving the West... but it is not the most important part any longer. We only have one chance at this life, even if we will live again, even if we are eternal. The life we currently find ourselves in is something we need to make the most of. For me, that means becoming truly worldly in ways I never imagined.

I am very appreciative of what Happier Abroad has shown me. It has greatly helped in my formation of the plan for the rest of my life.

I will be posting travel journals on my site at least once or twice per week once I begin my Exodus. If the mods and/or Winston tell me that it is O.K. I will post the link to my site in this thread. Otherwise, anyone who is interested in seeing the real me and following my travels in this world, please send me a PM and I will give you the link.

This is the saddest and yet most exciting time of my life, all wrapped into one. Originally I was going to disappear and keep it all to myself.

I'm glad I changed my mind and decided to share it.

Take care everyone.
