I don't think you understand how 'born again' is used by evangelicals. It refers to someone who has genuine faith in Christ, who has truly been forgiven of their sins and is in right standing with God through Jesus Christ. It doesn't mean the person is from a certain stream of Christianity or whatever.

You are asking him to be content with a Protestant girl who doesn't have genuine faith in Christ.
