Obviously your national socioeconomic will be more relevant but it will show your global socioeconomic ranking compared to everyone else in the world. If a person can earn the same amount of money abroad, then their global socioeconomic ranking will be accurate in most non-high cost of living (aka non-Western) nations.

Having $250,000 in liquid assets (or net worth) would put a person in the Top 4.4% richest people in the world. When comparing to other people in the world, it makes a person the 197,838,636th richest person in the world.
There are approximately 25,763,497 people in the world with a wealth of $999,999 and greater
