Why is there so much spam now?

Why has there been so much spam? At least one dozen posts on the Latest Threads are spam. I won't even click those links because who knows that is contained in the spam threads.

You cannot click on those. The spam is in the moderation queue. You cannot open those threads because they are not approved. If you dont want to see them go to the active topics page instead.

I dont know why theres so much spam. I have to delete it everyday. I dont know how they are getting through my humanizer questions designed to weed out robots.
Im going to disable new members from posting links and remove the website field too so they cant post a link in their profile. Hope that will deter them.
