My virus detector claims that the site below is not a good site to go on.

You got to check into this. People aren't going to like your site if they get trojans and viruses from it.

Why did you post that link? It installed Anti Virus Number 1, a fake rogue anti virus program that is actually malware! I installed it to try to scan my site and now I'm going to have to waste time trying to remove it! Look!

http://www.zimbio.com/Spyware/articles/ ... +Antivirus

Your link above installs a fake program that's hard to get rid of! Why did you do that?

That link was not on my site. Where did you find it?

Gmm567, I thought that link you gave me was to a virus scanner that would scan my website for viruses. Instead it installed Anti Virus Number 1 on my computer, a virus and fake program that will take some work to uninstall since it won't uninstall by itself!

You should have been more clear as to what you were talking about. That site had nothing to do with mine so why did you mention it as though it were mine or would check my site? You just infected my computer with a program that won't close or go away and keeps annoying me with stupid fake messages!

Oh god, I am sorry. I thought I warned you that that site was giving me warnings from my anti-virus program., that it was virus, and dangerous for infections.

Somehow, when I go to your site, I get redirected to sites that are like this one. And my virus program (norton) says don't go there. It's only happened like 5-6 times, but still

Your site is infected somehow. When you go to a page on your forum, you get automatically redirected to that site and others--that are virus/trojan/malware sites. So you site will infect other computers from people who are reading your forum. Not good.

I sent you the link so you could somehow track down how it has infected you site. Somehow that link is on your web site.

God sorry about the infection. I thought I made it clear.

I finally got rid of the AV1 with Malwarebytes, which is a free program you can download at:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/

How do you know that your computer isn't affected and not this site? I've never gotten redirected anywhere. I also googled the term "website infection" and "website viruses" and found no article that said that a site itself can be infected.

If one of the clicksor ads is infected, then as long as you don't click on it, your virus program shouldn't be saying anything as long as you don't go there.

Try running the malware program at the link above and see if it detects anything on your computer first.

I brought up this issue with clicksor and they have yet to address it.

well thank god, you got it off your computer. I know what a f***ing pain it is to get some malicious code--takes hours to reformat you're hardrive and everything.

Anyway....it just did it again. I clicked on the "general discussions" link and rather than coming to this thread I was redirected to that site.

I think that the program that runs your site has been somehow infected. It only happens on your site. it never happens on any other site I go to, so it's unlikely to be my computer. It's the server where your site is located, that's what has been infected.

Alright, I'll ask godaddy customer support about it. In the meantime, install that malware program at the link above and scan your computer with it. It will only take a few minutes. You gotta check all the possibilities.

You know, it could be that some of the bashers infected my site or hacked into it somehow. Some of them are hackers and tech geeks, like Stefan and Dave Fuller for instance. That's why they keep ranting on about this site having viruses, because they themselves are the culprits that infected it.

I searched google and there is no software that can scan a website itself. Supposedly, Godaddy, the server is supposed to keep the server free of viruses, but you never know. Their help section doesn't tell you much. I tried to download all my websites files through FTP but it was too large and wouldn't even start.

The viruses could be coming from a script too, from the ads.

Do you see any of the infected sites in the ads too?

Use the malwarebytes program, Gmm567 to scan your computer first.

I already emailed godaddy support to see what they can do.

In the meantime, I've changed my FTP password.

I am having the same problems as gmm567. Sometimes when I click on anything on your page, (general discussion, paranormal topics, etc.) it redirects me to a malware site stating my computer is infected (which it is not, this malware site is actually trying to infect my computer!) Then I quickly have to log out completely before any viruses are put into my computer. This only happens on this site, no other website (even porn sites) have ever done this to me! This needs to get fixed ASAP!

Congrats to winston for putting this site on the Internet Explorer 8 banned list! Right along with pirate and kiddy porn sites. The spyware has gone to plaid! Its simply not worth coming here anymore with all the infections and popups.

Here is the response I got from clicksor:

"Hi Winston,

Our Advertiser Team always work hard on removing violated ad in our network. With experienced account manager, there are a lot of accounts that we have suspended due to suspicious advertisements. We have been virus clean for quite a while; however, the recent incident was caused by a partner ad and we have sent out warnings on such matters.

All campaigns that were found to violate our TOS were suspended immediately. Our Advertiser Team is well aware of the situation and has taken more precautionary steps when reviewing and accepting new advertisers. This is but one of several new joint measures between our Advertiser and Publisher Team to ensure the safety of not only your users, but also to help maintain our network’s integrity.

Clicksor values the reputation that we have with our Publishers. We sincerely apologize for the unfortunate circumstances this may have caused you.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions.

Regards,

Grunt,
You are not being fair or rational or correct here. I did NOT infect this site with any viruses. I told you it's not in my control. Either the bashers did it, or one of clicksor's advertisers. Even though they are gone, there may be something left in the script of this forum or in your computer.

But I cannot turn off the viruses like a light switch so blaming it on me is both inaccurate and fruitless. But you probably won't listen to reason, so what's the point of explaining that to you?

Grunt, if you are going to be illogical and can't even think clearly, then perhaps this forum is better off with you. I'm sorry but posters without a sane clear head and common sense are not likely to produce quality posts.

You are hateful and connect dots without foundation or rationality.

I'm already doing all that I can. I've downloaded the files from this forum and scanned them and found nothing. The popups were disabled long ago.

Gmm567 and Jamesbond, can you run the Malwarebytes program I linked to earlier and scan your computer? That will help narrow it down.

Then we will proceed with the next step.

yeah what worries me is that you have malicious basher types who have hacked your site.

And by the way jamesbond that chick you have in your avatar is a cold hearted bitch. You are best to f**k a chick like that and leave. Pay money but get her to leave. You can't have relationships with one like her. Are you with me--she is a cold hearted bitch--fuck her and leave!

Amen brother! Her name is Victoria Silvstedt, she is from Sweden and a model. She now lives in the US and last I heard was married. But yeah, I am sure she is "high maintenance" and very materialistic (what hot looking woman living in America is not?). I am sure she had her share of "bad boys" and now is married to some rich guy (who she could divorce at a moments notice and get half of his net worth). With these types of women it's, feel em, f**k em and forget em! :D
