Especially since big corporations own the major media. So why doesn't the media side with liberals and be anti corporation? Seems like a contradiction.
The media are pro-establishment conservative (Zionist, to be more precise) on economic and foreign policy issues, liberal (Zionist, to be more precise) on social issues.

Edit: Oh, I see I made the same point over seven years ago. Hence, Corny's question seconded.
I wouldn't say the media is pro-establishment on economics. Classic capitalism is free enterprise in a free market. Not controlled by corporations. The media is neo capitalism, which is socialism for corporations and capitalism for the rest. Under classic capitalism the banker failure of 2008 cannot be bailed out. Those who fail must reap the consequences of their actions. So the banker bailout was an act of socialism, not free market.

Also the true far right is anarchy and libertarianism, not fascism. Both left and right are socialism under the US media. Far left is communism and far right is fascism, aka nazi socialism. So socialism is on both sides. Its a trick where they win either way. Its a false spectrum. In a true left and right, left is communism and right is anarchy without government.
