My Aunt said she was setting up a place for me a month back. Called her a few times, she never gave me a clear answers or called me back. Said f**k it and looking at Medellin, laureles Colombia. One guy here was a Peruvian-American Iraqi vet with paid disability, going to cooking school, talking about chef work in LA.

That's rough. You should just buy tickets and go anyway. Stay in cheap hotels & travel around until you find a place you want to live. Just be frugal with money. 10k will not last if you buy presents for girls...
