I've managed to meet 5 ladies in 4 days.

I now have a system, and it's working very well. When I get time I'll write my system down.

First I met a tall(ish) girl and her petite friend. Both were awesome, with little to choose between them.

Next up was a shopping mall store girl. Well she was a big disappointment, maybe the biggest disappointment in my dating history. I didn't stick around to go out on a date with her.

Last night I met a quite nice girl. But she annoyed me by ordering the most expensive thing on the menu, then it was clear she had the shopping gene. Also I just couldn't understand her English. So I won't see her again.

Today's date was definitely the best so far. I met her on wechat's lookaround feature. wechat doesn't give much away about people so it's always potluck - I don't even know her age. Well Rock told me not to focus on age. Anyway, she's a petite little brown girl from Issan and I spent a really good day with her. Definitely great girlfriend material, not sure about the wife thing but that might come with time. She looks a lot like a Filipina and definitely looks better irl than in photos. And I'm pleased she looks better than a lot of the Issan girls that farangs walk around town with, but not too hot that some other guy would steal her.

This city really is awash with single women, but you need a system.

Seen a few more guys with Asian brides. Starting to curse the Japanese here, because I saw this really old dude with a young 9 who so obviously wasn't his wife.

Also saw an old farag with a very young girl - he's living his dream.

There's a crazy Western woman in the hotel this week, she sits on the balcony day and night talking to her friends about boyfriends. She threatened to top herself the other night. Thailand does attract crazies.

One thing I've noticed is a lot of young Western alpha types are here. You know the type - mid 20's, bulging biceps, the kind Western women go gaga over in preference for us geeks. No idea why they need to be monging here, but they are here in big numbers. Maybe even RooshV's members are getting fed up with AW!

It's been a pretty good day here all in all. The local school had it sports day. While the Thai kids were pretty rubbish at sports, most of the day was taken up with some rather brilliant team dances. There were even a few ladyboy boys in full make up and dresses!

I also think the farang busker outside my 7-11 is actually Thai. It's rather hard to tell because farangs who have stayed here and rather outstayed their welcome look similarly disheveled.

Also saw some monks going into the 7-11 - I followed them in to see what they were buying.
Pardon the ignorance here, but aren't you also a farang?

Yeah, Xiongmao is a white Briton. We're both polite, college-educated intellectual types, and are completely the opposite of the stereotypical crude redneck farangs regularly seen around Bangkok and Pattaya. :P

Yes I am a farang. Are Japanese farangs also? Probably not since they pay twice as much as we do for their monging, beer and food.

I kind of look a bit out of place when I visit the monging places. Most farangs are either in their 20's experiencing their first monging trip, or in their 60's and crying into their Chang over a failed relationship with a Western woman.

There are a few crazy guys who have been here too long.

Almost had a couple of dates today but chatted to one girl for an hour then she told me she was actually in Chiang Mai and not round the corner like I thought. Another girl was too tired.

A major problem is that semi-legit girls work all hours, 6 days a week is common. But the good news is that you can have many girlfriends here if you choose some with different days off.

Really though after this week's dates I'm more or less decided on the type of girl I like. And there are a lot more of them here than there are in China.

The loud obnoxious Western woman is still in my hotel. Today she was telling her friend all about how Pattaya was terrible, with h00kers everywhere. Sounds like a decent kind of place to me. Oh, and she said that a guy tried to get her number - maybe one of the RooshV guys is also there.

This tends to be one of those western expat sour grapes urban legends when it comes to the Japanese. I knew quite a few Japanese guys who spoke Thai at a much better level than your average westerner. Quite a few had Thai friends and could blend in if they were mid term expats. I have been to Japanese venues before and seen what the prices were. The prices aren't really higher and in some cases offer a better value as far as quality goes in food, whores, etc.. If you're talking p4p i've seen very hot whores i'd rate as 8-9 who tend to focus on Japanese clientele. They have their own niche and maybe they used to overpay but not so much these days.

Soi 33 is now pretty much Japanese only. The odd thing is there's nobody there, just girls sitting around with nothing to do. I guess one bunch of Japanese guys come in and the bar's hit the jackpot. Pretty much like Falcon, Everdred and I saw in the KTV when a load of big spending Chinese walked in and ruined our time there.

Getting fed up with "nice" girls and their long working hours. The solution is a different girlfriend for every day of the week.

Why do Thai's work such long hours? They work more than the Chinese. They don't do much at work though. Not compared to Europeans. I went in a department store today and the men's shoes department had 11 assistants. Lol. Nobody wanted to help me though.

Still, I did have a girl who practically wanted to move in me today. Which could have been good, but I heard it's practically impossible to move them out again. Plus I've never actually met her yet.

Apparently she had a farang bf but he broke up with her so I guess that was a bit of a shock after being a full time gf.

Well she's gone to Phuket now - she wanted me to go with her but there's nothing for me there - I'd get sand in my Ultrabook.

Went to a Thai hospital today. It was very clean and nice and I can see why medical tourism is a big growth industry here and in Malaysia. It wasn't that expensive to see a doctor, plus the Pharmacist gave me a little shopping bag for my medicine, the kind you get in big department stores.

Dating's much more interesting here than in China. I'm meeting all kinds of girls my mom would never approve of.

Re-met date #2 here, but I told her I wouldn't pay for "anything", so she left after a short while to go do what she does. I think she's been successfully friend-zoned, so maybe I can feed her in the day and find out more about what goes on here. I guess she wants a long time bf. She's very sexy, but I think she would just lounge around all day watching the TV and eating ice cream.

Had some awesome Pad Thai tonight for only 30 baht. Definitely getting to the age when food matters more than ladies.

The Japanese were just starting to become prevalent when I began curbing my activity. In the past girls would go for 500, maybe 1000 baht. Once the Japanese started giving them 3000-5000 a night, prices began rising and attitudes changed.

There will come a day when you are fed up with women in general and pay them very little mind.

I remember when I was 16-21. The years when I had my deepest misunderstanding of women....I would bring them flowers, send flowers once in a while, and basically be the nice guy women like but aren't gaga over.

Once I grew older, and especially after being here for a bit, it dawned on me that they respond better to an aloof guy with an I don't give a f**k attitude.

Make money, money, money, money...listen, if there's one area where I pity the Thais is their working environments. Many work long hours with very few days off for absolutely shit pay. The wife works five days a week and while she generally needs to follow a schedule, she also has the luxury of being able to leave early or work from home occasionally. She's got it much better than most.

Remember that in Thailand, everything is about face. A department store with 11 sales assistants looks much bigger than if there were only two people standing around doing nothing. Today I went to B2S to buy another memory card. One of the staff was sitting, going over paperwork. There was no one around so I asked her to help. "Over there is some staff." So I needed to walk 50 feet from where the card was, tell one of the girls to help me, only to have her say, "Wait a second." When I told her I'd been waiting a lot longer than a second she got the hint.

In another instance, a girl was sitting typing a message on her phone. She yelled at another girl to help me. Thai customer service in retail situations is pretty piss poor. But then when I go to buy underwear I've got four girls all trying to sell me this one or that one. I always tell em the same thing, "Here's what I want, this is all I want."

And the reason they probably don't want to help you, besides laziness, is they don't want to speak English.
Still, I did have a girl who practically wanted to move in me today. Which could have been good, but I heard it's practically impossible to move them out again. Plus I've never actually met her yet.
Dude, seriously, work on your real life game. Say what you will about technology, meeting in person makes it more difficult for them to bullshit.

What is the name of the hospital? Bumrungrad?

Ever notice how much waste there is here? Every hospital gives out little bags and every 7-11 wants to give you too many straws and bag up a bottle of water that you're going to drink two seconds later.

Mom doesn't have to approve unless you introduce them to her so f**k em and don't worry about Mom. If men only were with women their mother's approved of, I think murder rates would rise dramatically.

Am I missing something here? You wouldn't pay for "dinner" or anything else? Or is she a dog you want to go away?

How old are you? I'll take a hot piece of ass over a plate of tasty Pad Thai any day. And I'm almost 51. My line of thinking is that men need to use their peckers as long as possible because at some point, Viagra and Cialis might not work!

Finally the Chinese attraction is being lost.

Can't compare the dating facility a random farang have in Thailand versus China.

As stated in all of your China or wathewer post,i wouldn't even dare to try China for p***y,girlfriend and dating.

After knowing Thailand, you can be sure that few places on the planet have this pool of accessible nice women and not only talking of P4P.

Just tell one story here.

My gig was involved with a guy from Dubai..they are plenty of Thai females who goes to Dubai as these guys understand quit fast how boring are their females at home.
Quit the same as our western chicks but for others reasons.

Anyways these Arabs are control freak and these stories end up bad many times.
I just asked her what about western females and why her ex Dubai dude won't do his deal with them(this guys comes many times per year and get plenty of women in Thailand)

She told that he has lived in the UK for one year and got disgusted by farang ladies because he clearly understand that he would just be a mangina there haha.

He is a wealthy man from Dubai, police officer earning more than 8k euros per month and know perfectly that Thailand is the spot...the spot where he can f**k at will and play around.
Not farangland,not China or wathewer.
The only place who came close to Thailand in Dubai is the Phillippines and that's all...

Not too late to wake up lol..China sucks when compared to Thailand regarding females and that's what count to me when i travel.

You can add the fact that Thailand have some infrastructure, good food, still not so expensive and relatively safe compared to others shitholes.

There have been numerous posts where i told that my first friends who where Chinese French didn't even went to China to party but to Thailand.

And the first guy who pushed me to go to Thailand told me clearly you shouldn't speak how good it is Thailand for females..just tell the contrary so less competition but the temptation to tell the true is to hard!

After knowing Thailand and the enldess p***y possibility, all the places i've visited before are really boring and all these interactions you can find there between males and females are just so f***ing ridiculous for me.

Yeah, Thailand's growing on me and I kind of wish I'd come here back when I first started looking for a wife from Asia.

I seem to have found a gf, well anyway we had our second date. All those hours I spent on ThaiLoveLinks and she was actually somebody I randomly picked out on WeChat. In fact WeChat has found some really interesting people and I'm kicking myself for not using it in China.

Anyway, we ate some Thai food, drank some juice, lit some candles in a shrine and ate some more ice cream. She's a sweet little Issan girl. We finally broached the subject of age, and it turns out she's 32 - not 24 like I thought. Yeah, that was surprising.

I started my Thai language class today. 10 students for the first class... place your bets on how many turn up to the next one.

Thai looks almost identical to Chinese in terms of grammar, but all the words are different. It appears there's no standard way of writing Thai in English, well I kind of knew that given how many spellings there are of places round my neighbourhood.

I maybe be wrong but I think Chinese is easier to learn, and more useful as well.

The students include a couple of older guys with Thai wives, a couple of people who have been living here a while, and the usual digital nomads like me (but they're from a wide range of countries).

Met a random foreigner last night - some guy from the USA who just got here. There seem to be a whole load of Western dudes travelling around in search of themselves, or women or both. Many end up here. Anyway, he didn't think there were as many hot women here as there were in the Phillies. His experience in the Phillies was that every girl seemed to be single.

We also swapped notes about how expensive it is here. Pad Thai is cheap though, although my Issan girl found an even cheaper thing for lunch at just 25 baht.

How expensive it is here? I normally have breakfast and lunch and it costs under $2. My townhouse is $230 a month and is 3-bedroom, 2-bath. Other than my kids tuition and our savings program, there's not much I would call expensive. It's not cheap here but most things are not what I would deem expensive. Your girl found a place with Pad Thai for 25 baht. There used to be places selling it for 5 baht, now it's 10 baht. Even at 25-35 baht in a shophouse / restaurant, how much cheaper does it have to be before it's not expensive? Free?

A friend of mine has joined me in Bangkok. So now there are 2 refugees from Guangzhou here!

He tried chatting to an Australian woman in the shopping mall but got closed down. Lol.

Then we met some East Asians with Russian wives. That combination produces the most adorable kids imaginable.

Anyway, he's enjoying the superior food and clean air that Bangkok affords over Guangzhou. Like me he went crazy as soon as he got here.

Tonight I went in Villa Supermarket and they were playing the song they kept playing in the bar I went in Pattaya. Good times.

And on the subject of costs, I want to know how much I should pay for a lifesize rubber Gecko here. I was told 50 baht each but that sounds outrageous. I will ask the woman every single night and see if she will give me 10 for 50 baht.

Thought I'd post some photos of the rain here in Bangkok. Saw a lot of rain in China, but they seemed to have better storm drainage systems.

Last night I was in a cafe in Nana when the heavens opened. But the rain stopped, so I got on a bus to head off back home.

Well that was a terrible mistake because I was clearly in the eye of the storm, and the worst was yet to come!!!

Incidentally, the photos aren't great quality because I only had my camera phone. Plus it's freaking difficult taking photos in these extreme conditions.

Torrential rain outside 7-11:

Image

Long time Bkk residents have seen it all before:

Image

Sukhumvit is now a river:

Image

At one point I even saw a car bumper go floating down the road...

Image

The rain won't stop the Bangkokians' cooking:

Image

What I faced on the way back to my condo:

Image

At least a foot of water, which was even deeper in some places. Saw all kinds floating - pot plants, planks of wood, dead roaches. Thankfully no water snakes or massive lizards!!!

Image

Welcome to Bangkok, as I told the new guests in my condo...
