Indian food is probably the best food on the planet, and I'm a guy that loves Brasilian, Dominican (not the cheap Amerricanized street vender crap you see in Puerto Plata and southside Sto. Dgo by the tourist districts), and Puerto Rican fried food. Pakistani food (well let's not talk about how the UK split them up from India, but I digress) and Thai food very closely rival Indian food. Such gastronomical epicurean bliss.

Even though I hate most things in India. I agree. Indian food is the best out there. Its like 10,000 years in the making, The minute details, the ingredients, cooking time, the utensils to use is fined tune to an art form.

Its so complex that many women would simply give up trying to make Indian food at home. Its layered with in layers of ingredients, even the way one cuts vegetables to size matters a lot in the end with taste. Its like what Swiss watch is to time, Indian food is to taste.

That being said, due to commercialization...Indian food has become just another way to make money through corporations. The ingredients, spices are not fresh enough and now a days, they even add MSG in Indian food..The quality of Indian food all over the world even in India have gone down as it has too become a business. Nothing is sacred anymore.



A fine art form has been reduced to a fast food money making enterprise.

Guys, if you were to take off the p***y goggles for a minute, you would realise there are lots of other reasons to be in Singapore, whether for a month or 5 years.

I lived there (for almost 4 months, on secondment from a contract in London) and I can assure you that, with the right kind of work and wages setup, Singapore is virtually the best place in the world to be in. Absolutely unbeatable: a first world hub with the efficiency of Switzerland, the infrastructure and professional environment of London or NYC, great warm weather all year around. And, last but not least, a ridiculously comfortable airport that makes more than 20 Asian countries never more than three hours flight away, with more and more low-cost options available.

Unfortunately things have changed somehow, now that the Zeitgeist isn't as conducive to highly-paid expat jobs as it used to be and cheaper propositions from India, Bangladesh and Burma, China and Vietnam are putting downward pressure on salaries. Still, if you're lucky enough to be on anything between 70 and 140K SGD and working for a European company that affords you the full 25 day paid holidays entitlement plus (PLUS!) the statutory national holidays (Chinese new year, Diwali etc.)...nothing beats that. Absolute paradise. Hands down.

I agree with this. Though I've never been to Singapore, I know several people that live there now. Location has to be the best out of any city IMO. My friend one weekend was vacationing in the Maldives, the next she was in Bali, and back to work Monday. A huge cluster of different ethnic groups plus higher salaries is a plus in IMO, at least for the career guy. If one is so p***y starved head over to the mongering countries. It sure beats a flight from the USA any day of the week.

You should just stay in america. The life and women you're looking for you can find in america better than asia cause at least there is more of that type and its your own country. Asia is for guys who want sex slaves. Youll just feel alienated in asia for no reason. You seem level headed so I dont think asia is for you. Asia is for nutters.

This is probably the best comment you've ever made that I like. All too true. F.uck a car. If I am going to get a car again, it will have manual transmission. Auto transmission panders to the female US of Gay element: it says it's okay for a woman to multitask while driving, but for real men, manual transmission is what's up.

American women are almost useless.

My current car has a manual transmission and hardly anyone knows how to drive one anymore.

Thanks for this wonderful report Everdred! I was in Singapore back in July, and it was a super interesting international city that I really enjoyed.

Singapore shares much of its culture and history with Malaysia, so the two countries really feel quite similar, although Singapore has more of a Chinese presence and British air to it. I've noticed that in Singapore, immigration officers and other civil servants were mostly ethnic Chinese, while in Malaysia they were almost exclusively ethnic Malay.

I'm sure some guys here would do quite well with Singaporean, such as Travelin Man, who went out with many women in Hong Kong. If you're a stud in Hong Kong, Singapore might also be for you, although Singaporean women are more Western, while Hong Kong women are more like Taiwan or Guangzhou women.

Domestic workers often hang out during the weekends, and some guys go there to pick up ladies. There are plenty of Bangladeshi migrant men around these areas specifically looking for maid girlfriends.
Indonesian maids: City Plaza and Paya Lebar area
Filipina maids: Lucky Plaza on Orchard Road

Orchard Towers: Mostly Filipinas and Indonesians in the clubs, often they're freelance working women. In the massage parlors, they're either Thai or mainland Chinese.

And all you other guys: As for the women, just check out the area around Geylang Lorong 18 if you're into P4P. With the dark alleys, outdoor gambling, and saloons, Geylang feels almost like something out of an old Wild West movie.

And for Indonesian women, many Singaporean guys go to nearby Batam Island, Indonesia and Johor Baharu, Malaysia.

Yes it is. There's also Bintang Island. These places cater mostly to Singaporean guys who can speak Malay/Indonesian, and white guys don't show up there often.

Look, I'm sure you'll be fine in Angeles City and Cebu. For white guys who will only speak English, Jakarta isn't going to be better. The average old white expat in Angeles City will not like much of Indonesia.

I don't recommend P4P and I can advise people who looking for quality long-term relationships. For other questions, Google might be a good tool to use.

Absolutely agree, I loved the vibrant, international feel of Singapore, and it definitely felt like a place I'd want to live in whether I'm a student or white-collar office employee. I was able to meet lots of intelligent and interesting people in Singapore, so it's absolutely a wonderful place to network too.

I attended a conference at a local university, and the facilities were definitely top-notch. I'd even say that Singapore actually beats London in many ways. (Singapore MRT vs. London Tube? I'm sure you know which one to pick. )

Singapore combines the best of British and Chinese cultures, which is why it's such a tremendous success.

Falcon, good information about Singapore. How long did you spend in Singapore? Did you go to the places you mentioned?

I was a blatant offender in North Virginia (right outside of Wash DC) Indian restaurants. They had to kick me out of a couple of them for overeating based on the unary price I paid for an Indian-buffet session.

With Indian food, it doesn't win in Western-culinary contests because it's not aesthetically-pleasing to the Western-trained eye. On the contrary, #$%^ what they say because Indian food from the southern part kicks arse!!!!

I hope laws finally pass where prostitution becomes more advantageous over there in India because I love how hairy the women are - especially their vulvas/v.aginas....Pakistan is more legal but a tad pricey. I need to find a good source for lower prices of w-mongering in Pakistan. Then one day, I might mess with it.

Singapore can be a bit 'sterile and boring' if you are looking for something different in a country. When I went there, it seemed like a better developed Honolulu minus he nice beaches. (I think they have some, but I doubt they'd compare to Oahu. Batam, which is nearby, is kind of industrial.)

I liked being able to go to little India and get Indian and Pakistani food. Little India didn't look third world, though. There are plenty of Chinese noodle type places. Living in Indonesia, the cleannes and sterileness of the city was a nice change of pace. I also liked being able to eat at Burger King and Long John Silver. After eating rice and noodles for years in Jakarta, I wasn't that into tasting the subtle variation on noodles the Singaporeans did. Once I went there with my wife. She ordered noodles from an outdoor food vending area, and I went to Burger King. They bake their own bread right there in Singapore so Burger King is unusuall good, and there was no Burger King in Jakarta at the time.

My employer paid for my hotel most times I went. I did stay with a friend once, though. I got the impression that the cost of housing was expensive, but food was probably a bit cheaper than the US. Clothes are cheap. But food and clothes are a bit cheaper in Jakarta, so I didn't buy a lot. I'm not into big name brands though, so some Jakartans like to shop in Singapore. I never figured out the special food from Singapore to take back as an 'oleh oleh' to the office. Indonesians expect for people who take trips to bring back some special regional food. Singapore has a kind of pork soshu or whatever it is that makes a good gift, but not for Muslim coworkers.

As far as women in Singapore go, I just know a lot of them are career focused and get married late and the government encourages marriage to keep up the Chinese population. Some local guys get wives from Vietnam and other places. There are even little businesses that will match up a man with a Vietnamese bride they fly over and keep there in the matchmaking shop for a while, or else will fly you to VIetnam to match a Singaporean up. I suppose a man could get a good Singaporean wife just like anywhere else, but it doesn't seem to be an ideal location for wives.

I have heard about Singaporean sex tourism to Batam. I didn't see anything like that on my few day business trip to Batam back when I lived there.

One thing I didn't like about Singapore was having to stand in line to catch a taxi at designated areas. In Jakarta, you can hail a cab from just about any location along the street and when I was there, there were a lot more cabs than customers most of the time in busy areas.
