You probably hit some uncanny-valley effect. Or it could be just in your head as it f*ks with your confidence like i said. Heck sometimes i feel like crap in the wrong jacket, let alone something like this.
globe-trotter wrote:I feel I would come off as a delusional loon if I tried explaining this to a doctor
WTF? how many years have you gone without addressing it?
Yes, you're right, it does mess with my confidence. It's even worse when this effect comes and goes several times a day, causing women to go from flirting with me, to avoiding me like a disease, back to flirting with me. It causes me a lot of distress and emotional volatility. I am basically like Cinderella at the ball when my face is normal, and my stagecoach turns into a pumpkin when I get bloated.

I have dealt with this issue since I became aware of it in my teens. But I didn't identify it as a 'problem' with women until I was in my late-20's to early 30's. Now, I am acutely aware of the effects this has wrought on my love life.

Yes, based on the rants and raves I've read about everywhere, I did expect for women to easily come my way. That' was the whole point of going to the Philippines. If it's going to be just as hard as in America, why bother??
Common man...Someone is really messing with you....Whoever told you that, your presence is enough to get laid in Philippines is lying to you....My point is ...Why are you blaming the Philippines....Its all the liers...most likely Americans that cheated you ..Not the Philippines...

You likely brought their ebook of Lies on Philippines.

You were conned by your fellow Americans on what really Philippines is.

You had unrealistic expectations thanks to your fellow Americans lying. Americans cheated you not the Philippines.

I never say that to any Indians who plan to travel to Philippines...There is a way to get the best in Philippines.

Americans are too cunning, too selfish for their own good. I hate this sh*t...for few bucks they would go to any length to con their own countrymen.

If only you listened to non-Americans...You would have had a totally different experience. Why would you listen to retards who are miles away from reality man. Do yourself a favour stay away from America and Americans.

Sorry if I sounded boastful and arrogant. That wasn't my intention.
Actually, I suffer from anxiety disorders and sexual aversion problems that prevents me from talking to women. I have even more problems performing sexually with them.
Sometimes I wish women would find me unattractive all the time. This way, I would make peace with myself and find some tranquility in my life, especially at this age.

Hey guys this whole thread is moot. He first has to take care of his allergy problem (i'm assuming you're not trolling us GT), all other things are unrelated.
Instead of blowing 4 grand on his trip he should've sought treatment first.

Oh, you're right. I'm not blaming the Philippines at all. I'm only blaming the idiot Western men who instilled unrealistic expectations about the Philippines in me.

Not to boast, but I flew Business Class and First Class r/t (from NY), and it only cost me $147 and some frequent flier miles I had in my account.
I haven't done the math yet, but I estimate I spent less than $1,500 on this entire trip, with everything included. Mind you, I also went to Japan for 4 nights and stuffed my face with premium sushi the whole time. :D

Also, I'm not even sure I have an allergy problem. Maybe that's just what the skin naturally does? It expands and contracts; It doesn't stay the same, like a mannequin. It's just that my skin seems to expand and contract more than the average person's. Maybe I need to lose even more weight (I'm currently 5'9'; 181 lbs)? But this hasn't worked in the past, even when I was 150 lbs. I still would get bloated.
This is starting to get esoteric, but maybe I was born with an excess of hyaluronic acid, which is the substance that gives the skin volume? We lose this substance as we age, but I still seem to have a lot of it left (when I was younger I really had a bloating problem!).

Now, about the 'trolling'. I don't troll. Not to sound snobbish, but my time is too valuable for that, and I'm too old for it. I only post comments meant to lead to something constructive.

I'm attracted to women sexually, but I seem to have an aversion to sex itself. I don't like body heat, and the feeling of touching naked skin. Part of the reason I went to the Philippines was to address this issue and put it to rest, once-and-for-all.

I would stop speculating and actually have someone look at it.

Yes, I was. But after much research, I decided to go to the Philippines instead.
Since my issue was not resolved in the Philippines, I'm not sure what I will do now, or where I will go next.

I would go to a freaking specialist or whatever it takes. I'm no expert but it could be the root of the other problems you have too.

I would also suggest amending the thread title with the suffix "but i had a bad skin condition" or whatever.
