The world's first "globalist" was probably Alexander the Great, who conquered much of the known world, which led to the spread of Greek culture and Hellenic ideas throughout the conquered lands.

More recently, modern "globalism" began with Christopher Columbus, whose national holiday we just celebrated. He established the first Spanish colonies in the New World. Eventually, the Portuguese, French, English, Dutch, Belgians, and Danes established colonial empires on a global scale. Large numbers of people migrated from one part of the world to another.

You may wish that these events had never happened, but there is no going back.
