Poor Catholics Don't Know...

Post by Adama »

And may not care, that the New Testament is explicitly against Catholicism. They don't know either because they have closed their perception and do not care, or because they have not read.

1. A bishop must be the husband of one wife. Catholic priests are unmarried.
2. A bishop must have children. Catholic priests do not have children.

Relevant verses:
1 Timothy 3:2 KJV A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;

1 Timothy 3:4 KJV One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity;
3. The Bible says false religions forbid people to marry. The Catholic church forbids the marriage of priests:
1 Timothy 4:3 KJV Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
(This verse also reinforces that salvation is by faith alone.)

And doesn't the Catholic church also demand that people spend some days as vegetarians or at least eating only fish?

4. Catholic church has priests wearing long robes, which Christ explicitly stated that people should beware of such people:
Luke 20:46 KJV Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feasts;
5. Christ explicitly explained that we should not call other men Father (according to faith, not heritage), because only God the Father is our Father according to the faith.
Matthew 23:9 KJV And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
6. Catholicism says that Mary is the mediator between God and Man. The Bible says that Christ is the Mediator:
1 Timothy 2:5 KJV For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
7. Christ explicitly tells us NOT to pray in vain repetitions, but Catholicism has multiple prayers that are chanted in repetition:
Matthew 6:7 KJV But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8. Don't let any false prophet deceive you out of your inheritance of eternal life
Colossians 2:18 KJV Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
9. Catholicism has statues and graven images which the Ten Commandments forbid, because it is a form of idol worship.
Exodus 20:4 KJV Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
10. Salvation for Christians is simply by believing in Christ and His Works. Salvation for Catholics is supposedly faith in Christ, plus works, which include sacraments such as: baptism, matrimony, communion, church attendance, etc. If a person doesn't have good enough works, they will perish. However, in Christianity, Christ kept all the commandments for us and overcame the law, then He died for our sins. Therefore Christ has done all the work, and all we must do to be saved as true Christians is to trust in Him. Works come thereafter to do what is pleasing in the sight of God.

I could expand this list, to include things such as monks (just like another false religion: Buddhism), nuns, praying to Mary instead of to God, rosary beads, purgatory, etc. But rest assured, Catholicism is not Christianity. It is a false version that has simply dominated the world and deceived everyone into thinking that it is Christianity when it is just a diversion.

Anyone can be saved though. All they have to do is believe, Catholic or not. But Catholicism itself is pure idolatry.

Obviously Catholics suck and to some extent always have, but is there any authentic Christian faith in existence? Maybe the whole thing has run its course.

All you need to do to become a Christian is to believe in Christ. There is no membership in an international or national organization needed. Salvation is not by church attendance but by faith. It is faith that saves. That is when God imputes righteousness onto the believer, which makes the believer worthy of entering into eternal life. Church attendance is a commandment. Commandments do not save. Faith in Christ is what saves.

All a person has to do is read the KJV (if in English), once they are saved, and they will see what they must do.

So is there an authentic Christian faith? Yes, all you need to be a Christian is to have faith in Christ. Then read the Bible to make yourself aware of the commandments.

Are billions of people going to hell? Christ tells us, the way to eternal life is narrow, and that there's only a few people who will find it. A person must search out for the narrow way to life. Because the route to destruction is broad (wide), and most people are on it.

Enter ye in at the strait gate (strait is a synonym for narrow): for wide (contrasted with strait, narrow) is the gate, and broad (reinforcing wide) is the way (path, route) to destruction (hell), and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait (narrow) is the gate, and narrow (reinforcing strait) is the way (path, route) which leads unto life, and few there be that find it.

Translation:

Enter in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way to hell, and there are many which are taking that route: Because narrow is the gate, and narrow is the path which leads to life, and there are only a few that will find it.

In other words, just as the common saying states, just because billions of people are jumping off a bridge, that doesn't mean that you should blindly follow them just because everyone else thinks it's right. Look well and deep into the matter on your own account, before trusting in a religion simply because other people have, including ancestors.

Only a few small percentage of the world's population even care enough to bother to find the proper way to heaven, and that is simply by believing in Christ. This is the narrow door. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. It is a free gift, because God came down as Christ to keep all the commandments and thereby overcame the commandments for us, because man cannot keep all the commandments (that's impossible for mortals). Then He died to take the penalty for our sins. All a person must do is believe in Christ. Then God imputes eternal righteousness onto the soul of that believer, making that person worthy of entering into eternal life to be in the presence of God.

Because on the new Earth there will be no sin, no evil, no evildoers, no Satan, and no death. Neither will there be anything that defiles it. Neither will there be evil doers who would defile it. Everyone gets washed clean by the blood of the sacrifice of Christ, if they have believed in Him in this life. God will be there in the fullness of His glory. So it cannot be a place of sin. That's why people must be cleansed from sin, by the blood of Christ, which is done when they believe in Christ. It's that simple.

As for sins on this earth, the penalty is still death: blindness of heart, sorrow, disease, ailments, and premature death. So a person must also walk the narrow path after they've entered in through the narrow door of faith in Christ.

The strait and narrow sounds a lot like works, which I thought were unnecessary. It clearly implies behavior, decisions, etc., all dependent upon the strength, good judgment, etc. of the individual.

Faith in Christ is the gate; the door. The way to Christ is simply by faith, not by works. The path is the way of righteousness, avoiding sin.

A saved man can still do some wickedness but he may die for it. Unrighteous men can be saved. However, if an unrighteous man goes too far, he may render himself unworthy of salvation.

Our works are not for salvation. Avoiding sin keeps us from death; from losing life. And for the unsaved, avoiding sin keeps them from rendering their souls irredeemable.

In other words, works cannot save a man, but doing evil can certainly condemn him. Salvation is by faith alone, and the door to everlasting life is through simply believing in Christ.

Many of those people who are on the broad path refuse to believe in Christ and are deceived, because they love the pleasure of unrighteousness so much that they dismiss the truth of salvation, or God will shut their eyes to salvation and they will be unable to believe the truth of salvation.

The way of life for a righteous man is narrow. As in he must be obedient and keep the commandments, or else he may die, but he will not lose his soul.

The way of evil is broad, as in those who are on that path are able to commit lots and various kinds of evil which are forbidden.

As righteousness tends to life: so he that pursues evil pursues it to his own death. The man that wanders out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

The way of righteousness is life, as in that man will live. The way of evil leads to death. If a righteous man strays onto the broad path, he may die. And many people on the broad path who refuse to enter in at the strait gate (through faith alone in Christ) will die in their sins, meaning their souls will be destroyed.

A man is saved by faith alone, but thereafter he must walk uprightly to preserve his life. An evil man is on the evil path and their way is crooked. He has a chance to enter into eternal life through the narrow door of faith in Christ, if he has not already gone too far. Thereafter he should walk uprightly to save his life.

But for those who refuse or go too far, they will not be able to find the narrow door, because they've given their lives over to work evil. They've abandoned everything that is good and godly to be and do evil. So God will eventually abandon a person to evil and the penalty and the fruits of their way, which is eternal death of the soul without Him.

Christ has already paid the penalty for all those who believe in Him. He kept all the commandments which is why salvation is not by works. He conquered the commandments for salvation. But as for staying alive in this life, if a man wants to live and be healthy, he must stay on the narrow path of righteousness. He must keep the commandments to keep preserve his life in this present world. He can never lose his eternal life, because Christ promised He would never cast anyone out once they've entered in.

11.

Another thing I want to mention about the false Christian religions. Some of them definitely want to deify Mary into being an eternal virgin. For that reason, they don't want to believe that she ever had marital relations with Joseph, her husband. So they claim that Christ never had any brothers or sisters.

This is more proof that poor Catholics have either never read their Bibles or perhaps that their understanding is blinded. Poor souls.

Jesus Christ had several brothers and sisters, and we all know that the word "know" (or knew) in the Bible is a euphemism for marital relations. The Bible also says that Joseph waited until after Jesus was born, and then he knew his wife Mary.

Matthew 13 KJV
54 And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?

55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?

Matthew 1:25 KJV And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

12. In Christianity, every believer is a saint. In Catholicism, only the few beatified chosen get to be saints.

13. Confessions of our sins are to God only. Confessions of our faults, not sins, can be made to the brethren. No mention is made of confessions of sins to the pastor or bishop.

14. Water does not become holy by a blessing from a pastor, priest or bishop.

15. Mass and Church Prayer must be conducted in the common language, not in a dead language that few understand except for the priesthood.

1 Corinthians 14:9 KJV So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

16. Purgatory is fiction and entirely made up; a false doctrine of men.
Belief/Faith in Christ is what grants eternal righteousness. Christ's blood is what cleanses the believer from the filthiness of their sins, not an extended period in "purgatory."

17. Indulgences: In the teaching of the Roman Catholic Church, an indulgence is "a way to reduce the amount of punishment one has to undergo for sins. It may reduce the "temporal punishment for sin" after death (as opposed to the eternal punishment merited by mortal sin), in the state or process of purification called Purgatory.

Matthew 21:13 KJV And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Purgatory and indulgences both indicate that whoever believes in either one of them does NOT believe in Christ. Because these things are not needed if Christ truly paid the eternal penalty for our sins. And if they don't believe in Christ, they are not Christians, but just heathen or pagans.

18. There is no reason to make the sign of the cross before prayer, by stating "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit," while using the hands in a gesture of a cross.

19. Rosary beads are not required and possibly come from Islam or Hinduism.

20. The monastery is from Buddhism.

21. In Catholicism, Mary is God (although they don't explicitly state this and none of them recognize this for what it is).

Mary is worshiped with prayer directly to her. Christians pray to God the Father in the name of Christ. (Many Catholics think praying is simply asking, but prayer is worship by asking. It is supplication to God. This is why people bend themselves over in reverence, because God is the King of kings.)

Mary is called the Mother of God in Catholicism, in essence she is replacing God the Father in their false religion.

This is also why they want to maintain that she is an eternal virgin, because it exalts her. She was never defiled by a man, by intercourse or by a man's seed. Eternally pure and righteous.

So Catholics chant prayers to Mary in vain repetition, they call her the Mother of God, they call her the intermediator between God and men (which is Christ's role), and believe she is an eternal virgin. This is all worship and glory that go to God the Father and to Christ, which the Catholic church redirects. They have turned Mary into God: she is the mediator in their religion (Christ is the mediator), the mother of God (attempting to replace God the Father), and supplication and requests are made to her. In Catholicism, Mary is God.

Can anyone see how this is nothing but idolatry? Catholicism is paganism dressed up as Christianity. It takes its doctrines from Gnosticism (a very Satanic doctrine in itself), Hinduism, Buddhism, and ancient pagan religions (which are probably the origins of the other religions).

22. In Christianity, the belief that Jesus is the Son of God, the Christ, is the Rock that is referred to and the confession that Peter made to Christ, which is the foundation. Why? Because, once a person believes and accepts that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, the Messiah, they are saved and from that moment they have eternal life. (Some people refuse to accept it, although they've memorized it.)

23. In Catholicism, baptism is by sprinkling or pouring of water. In Christianity, baptism is by immersion of the whole body under water. John the baptist used the river Jordan to baptize people.

24. In Catholicism and other false versions of Christianity, babies get baptized. In Christianity, a person only gets baptized after they have believed. That's when they get saved. Only after a person gets saved can they get baptized. That means babies cannot be baptized because they have not yet made the free will choice to believe in Christ.

25. In Catholicism, it is possible for a person to lose their salvation. In Christianity, salvation can never be lost, because Christ said He would never cast anyone out, because it is eternal, because it is a free gift, because salvation is not by the works of the believer but by their faith in Christ. There's nothing a person can do to earn salvation and there's nothing a person can do to lose it. Because Christ kept the whole law and all the commandments for us, thereby overcoming the commandments, as far as gaining eternal life is concerned.

If a saved person commits sin, they can destroy their present life and possibly reduce rewards in eternity, but salvation is eternal. By definition it is everlasting and eternal from the moment they believed in Christ (this is why Jesus uses the present tense "has" or "hath" eternal life). The whole point of Christ coming into the world was to save the world from eternal death. God is not playing games or hopscotch because that would render Christ's death vain, if salvation were temporary or by works. Besides that, the yoke and bridle of Christ will limit how far a person can go into sin after they're saved.

26. The Catholic church worships the dead. The Catholic church keeps relics of "dead saints."
Bodily relics are an important part of Catholic tradition, since the body is considered to be the “instrument” of the person’s saintliness. Beatification and canonization Masses often feature the relic being ceremoniously brought to the altar in an elaborate display case and allowing the faithful to publicly venerate the new blessed or saint for the first time.
http://www.mcall.com/news/breaking/mc-n ... story.html

In Christianity, dead things are concerned to be unclean. In the OT, a person had to separate himself from the group for having touched anything that was dead.

Also, the Bible explicitly states that God is not the God of the dead but of the living.

27. In Catholicism, people become children of God by baptism. In Christianity, people become children of God simply by faith in Christ.

Catholicism says: In a strict sense, any baptized Christian is a child of God and thus a member of his Church (Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC) 1265-71, 1997).

Christianity and the Bible:

Galatians 3:26 KJV For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Any religion that teaches salvation by works or by faith plus works is a demonic diversion. Nobody can keep alive his own soul, and nobody is pure enough to enter into God's eternal life except for Christ, who is the only sinless person from birth. Because He kept all the commandments, He overcame the law, as far as salvation is concerned [Romans 10:4 KJV; Ephesians 2:15 KJV]. Breaking the commandments can lead to premature death and disease in this present life, but salvation is not by works because Christ died so we could be saved through Him.

Any religion that adds works to faith has denied Christ. Because God gets all the glory. Basically if a person thinks that they must do work for salvation, they are saying that Christ's work is incomplete. They are also saying that they are as holy, pure and righteous as God, in that their works can be added to His, which is certainly not true. It is self-deception.

That's why any religion that says salvation is by works or faith + works is a demonic deception meant to send people to eternal death. God will not cover their sins if the person hasn't completely trusted in Christ for their salvation. The door to salvation is narrow, and few people will find it. The door is faith alone (or belief alone; faith= noun, believe=verb). It's a free gift, unearned, for all those who believe. Then eternal righteousness is imputed to the believer at the moment.

A church cannot have any fathers. All believers are brothers. There is no father of any church, except God the Father. Christ explicitly said that no man should call himself a rabbi, a master or a father, and all that is within the faith (not within the family or within employment, for example).

Matthew 23:8 KJV But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Matthew 23:9 KJV And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.

For some reason Catholic heresy and indoctrination cannot be overcome for many. It is all there in the Bible. But somehow, since they're so confounded, some are unable to believe the truth from the Word of God itself.
