Travel for FREE

Post by fdiv » June 6th, 2018, 8:51 pm

One thing that is probably overlooked is getting employment at an airline. Now, before you dismiss this, keep in mind that the airline requires all kinds of different work in order to function. Even if you are not fortunate to have some unusual and particular skill like "pilot" or "airframe mechanic --hydraulics" you can still seek employment here. There are positions for IT, business, Customer Service/Support, Cargo handling, etc.

One upside is many of those jobs (especially customer support) are part time. That means you could potentially get this as a second job and not only get the cash but travel for FREE (well taxes still apply). Many airlines offer this benefit to ALL their employees! And friends/family fly FREE also! You could use your new privilege to travel to with foreign women not just to them! Assuming your full time job was flexible about vacation time(you could get bumped), this would work out pretty well. Weeks paid vacation and flights to foreign destination of choice to feminine, receptive women. And expenses (except for local ones) ALL PAID FOR BY EMPLOYERS! This just adds tons of sweetness to the victory of escaping fem-hell USSA! Employers footing the bill for your adventurous trysts with foreign ladies!

Of course that all assumes you're willing to work a second job part time. One of the airlines a friend applied to said he'd work "150 to 1500 hours per year". So the amount of work could vary widely. He said he was ok with it and that's the way they start people at this particular airline. There's potential for promotion within, and they typically pick you up full time later on if he wanted. But with that comes lots of opportunity to relocate if he wanted to, even with a few overseas postings (unfortunately those usually go to locals).

Flight benefits have apparently become a lot harder to use. Employees fly standby, and are the absolutely last to board. If the flight is full, they are SOL. I was talking to a flight attendant a year or so ago who was waiting to get on a flight to Chicago for free. There was a cancellation earlier in the day so all those affected travelers were spread out on the remaining flights of that day. She basically end up waiting 8 hours to take a $100 flight for "free".

Yeah it depends on the Airline and helps if your full-time employer is somewhat flexible on PTO. Also depends on the routes and time of year. Some are better than others. I applied to Delta but didn't get it. Curses! To quote a wise man, it's like some invisible negative force is conspiring to keep me in the US where I am forced to live with a depressing negative soul energy! Shit!

Anyway if anyone can get a job like this, a good way to play it would be to get full time online job (phone technical support should be easy). Then you don't have to worry as much about scheduling. You'd be way more flexible that way. That would be pretty awesome.
