Not useful for me.

If you are under 28 and can get a "holiday visa" where you just go to a country and work, it is easy to go to most countries. However, I'm older and I've found getting a work visa impossible. Really, its such a nightmare I can't do it myself at the moment. I also feel I can't leave my house or job here because I won't be able to pay my mortgage. However, I have done it in 2008, so I'd recommend other guys to get their life to a stage they can go - but it's not easy.

I would suggest if you have a family member (grandparent/parent) have lived in Italy (for example) you can get a EU passport.

Other options than hopefully being hired while being abroad (not common unless you have a highly requested job occupation)

If you are under 30 There is a Aiesec program which is a student organization which is helps students get long-term (1-1.5yrs) or short term (3 months-6 months)

chroniclevitae has academic jobs, including those from abroad.

If you get an account, I think you can filter usa.jobs so that it yields only the websites of the companies hiring for International jobs.

On a lot of boards, you click on a job, which takes you to another board where you have to put in another password, and the job may be expired. I haven't used a job board that does that in years, but in the past, you could follow a wild goose chase of job boards and spend your time filling in password forms to create accounts online.
