Hi everyone, i just wanted to say how much i love this community. Ive been a long time reader and just started to join in because im going to go overseas.

So I grew up in orange county and moved to socal, ive been lower middle class all my life. im a 5'11 white male that has done some modeling (not bragging just trying to say im a good looking white guy) im 23 and i can dance with 7-9's at the club but talking to them is a lot harder. my small talk skills arnt the best yeah know and it just seems like no matter how much effort i put in to hook up with these women they play games like mad.

so what im looking for in a place overseas were i will make enough money to go out and eat every night. maybe party, have my own place. Here at home ive worked for 9.50 an hour and could only save 200 a month because the cost of living here is so expensive. Im not a huge fan of asian girls, but i can get used to them. what ive looked into is that shanghai china pretty much meets all my needs but im not sure. Theres so many options out there, like thai land (i love thai food) Taiwan and Vietnam. I want to be unique and be around people that are friendly easy going people. In sanfran people are kinda distant. It would be awesome if some of you guys could give me advice and point me in the right direction.

well ive boild it down to:

A+++ Bahia, Brazil (probably wont happen because its hard to get a job there and it doesnt have all the things im looking for)
A+Shanghai, china (ive always wanted to learn mandarin. it sounds so badass)
B vietnam
c Poland, Russia, Gorgea (gorgea and russia because of the videos on this site :D, the girls look so friendly)

thanks everyone

You'll probably find a job easier than me, since I'm not White. I've been trying for a while to teach English in Asia, and so far, have been rejected pretty much everywhere. It's pretty racist to be honest! Several overseas Asian members on HA have had success though, and they've been encouraging me to keep trying, so I will. I think if you're White, the better option would be in Europe/Eastern Europe/ or Russia. I think guys like ThinkDifferent and Have2Fly can give you pointers on that. Then there's the Middle East, which Ladislav (our resident expert on the subject of teaching English overseas) keeps telling us about and says it's a good place to make money. He's taught all over the world, so I would PM him and ask him any questions that you have. He'll answer all your questions.

Lots of non-Chinese in Beijing, probably Shanghai too. Like a million plus expats. So f you need white chicks to boink, voila, there you have it.

My suggestion is stick to modeling for the next 24 months, just do it in China instead of here. white models are rarer there than in US. You will get more work there than here. (Would also work in Korea or Japan I think, but I understand those countries are not on your list.)

Model and learn mandarin for now, all else can wait 24 months, including the Brazilian and FSU tail.

TEFL i something you can do only when you're not busy modeling. China pays well.

Congrats on being frugal and also on having the sense to GTFO. Go where the opportunity is, chicks will follow. Make it happen.

Korea is an option and iver heard good things about it. so basically im looking at any south east Asia place. Ive heard korea soul is expensive to live and the Korean women arnt very friendly twords expats. But idk what do you guys think?

Out of those options I would try Shanghai. The idea would be to get a university or public school TEFL gig where you only had to work about 20 hours a week or so. This would get you a Z visa and perhaps a free apartment. Then in your spare time you could do modeling or other white-guy type stuff. There seems to be quite a lot of demand for that in Shanghai.

When I lived in a Seoul satellite city things seemed fairly cheap compared to the West, although I didn't have to pay rent on my closet-sized apartment. Alcohol is cheap if you don't mind soju. Public transport is good and cheap. Young Korean women are OK, but I wouldn't recommend marrying one of them as they seem to turn into arrogant and fugly battleaxes at some point - your stereotypical "ajuma". Jobs in Korea are hard to get and suck at the moment though, and they do enforce the rule about not doing any other work on the side.

Hey thanks Cornfed, that feedback really helped me in chosing shanghai. That sucks korea is really strick on doing business outside of school. I guess china is just looking like the best option. well what do you guys think of Thai land, Taiwan or Vietnam(Vietnam mainly)

Taiwan ok for tefl, so people say. Decent pay.

Thailand = low pay and long hours.

Don't know about VN

But Vietnam and Taiwan aren't going to have a selection of attractive WW.

Cornfed is correct. Try Shanghai. You will find work immediately.
