Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam?

Let's say, hypothetically, that I am a financially-stable mid-50s widower, White American whose wife was a lovely Filipina, two adult children plus an eleven year old daughter to whom I am absolutely devoted.

Where would you guys recommend seeking a wife to take care of me and my daughter?

Ideally, the woman would be kind, gentle, a hot young virgin with a background in classical music.

Hypothetically, I would have to bring the daughter along, and she could help screen potential stepmothers.

I've been in Thailand and the Philippines. Thailand is a far superior country to visit than the Philippines, even discounting the brothels, which will have to be off limits. But, I'm obviously more familiar now with how Filipinas view the world.

Hypothetically, I wouldn't be staying in the country for long--just picking out a fiancée, and returning to the USA to sponsor her visa.

To me, the choice is a no brainer.

Thailand: Forget about it. You think u r going to find a fresh young virgin there who is genuine, interested in marrying you for the long haul, and moving permanently to the States? Think again. Snowball's chance in Hell.

Vietnam: R u gonna learn her language and culture? Is she gonna learn yours? Maybe it can be done but it would probably take a great deal of time for u to begin even understanding each other. If u wanna do this quick, Vietnam is out unless u wanna do a luck of the draw and marry someone u don't really know or understand.

Philippines: Go to a provincial 2nd or 3rd tier city and court potential gems. You can meet candidates online and do as much homework as possible before you go. There are actually virgins there, girls who've never been unchaperoned. And you have learned so much about that country given your former marriage. Plus, the US understanding/culture/language gap with Phils is much smaller than it is with Vietnam or Thailand. This is by far sounds like the safest bet based on what you've written.

I'd recommend two countries not on your list.. Laos and Indonesia. I think you can find traditional wives who will adhere to your plan. Laos is a bit simpler and the women aren't nearly as westernized or ethnocentric as Thais are. Indonesia ditto..if you go outside Bali and the touristy cesspools it's easy to find traditional women. I know some white guys who have married women from these regions and it has worked out very well for them.

Or you could roll with another Filipina. I guess you'd be "replacing" the first wife..not sure how your kids will look at that. I have a feeling that when they get a bit older they'll put the pieces together and think you're a sleazebag though.

I loved Vietnam and its women are beautiful, but as Rock says, this is really a no brainer - Philippines. Your only challenge is you may have to compromise on the classical music lover.

There are several middle aged guys here married to younger Pinays - so perhaps they will weigh in. As for me, I've gone through the whole process, my fiancée is here with me in the US and the wedding is in 13 days!

Hell - did I really just say that! On HA!

Rock pretty much nailed it. Your biggest enemy is time, no pun intended. How close to perfect you want is going to make a big difference.

A music background might also imply middle-upper class and highly educated, most likely, for a young woman. Will her parents accept a man your age? You might be older than the parents are.

If you are pretty wealthy, then perhaps you can dowry your way into something very nice?

If you wanted a middle aged lady like 30-50, you could probably hit every point except virgin perhaps, but....some in their 30s are virgins too if you are patient in your search.

Check out that Christian Filipina website.

Would you recommend a Lao-Isaan, or a Hmong?

Moslem women? I would have thought that non-Moslems would have been off-limits for them.

Well, either that, or dying alone, or *gasp* taking my chances with the American dating scene. I'm too old and jaded for that.

On the plus side, the potential bride would have a pension and health insurance for the rest of her life, provided she stayed with me for the rest of mine.

Well, yes. I know that in China, the violin has become a national obsession. Elsewhere, that would probably be the first thing to compromise on.

Parental approval might be a sticking point, particularly for the younger ones.

Well, I wouldn't want TOO much of my wealth shared with the in-laws. I'm fairly comfortable, but not Donald Trump.

Well, mid-30s might not be so bad. But, the longer she lives, the longer she gets my pension.

I quit going to church quite a long time ago. Are they open to Heathens?

Well if she is young and impressionable and loves you - she will learn to at least appreciate your interest in classical music. Especially if you want to share it with her. So I think this one is a "nice to have" not a necessity.

Well, you're probably right. Marrying Westerners has become such a big industry there that I would most likely end up scammed.

Well, this video makes it look rather tempting.

I'd probably have to go to Singapore to see what was available.

I'm sure that this would be the surest bet. Just wondering what else was out there. As for countries to visit, it is one of Asia's least interesting. But, I've been to Taiwan, too, and I can see why Winston rags on about it so much.[/youtube]

Don't discount Thailand.

I dated two mid-30 year old Thai women this week, both were non-bargirls and very nice. Pretty sure both were virgins.

My crazy friend from Guangzhou met one of them (the guy I was telling Rock about) and he told me to marry her!

Well they're too nice for me that's for sure, as I've well and truly lost my mind in the tropical heat, but if you live here then you too can do stupid, memorable shit.

You might be able to stretch the age difference a little. But the feedback I'm getting from being here on the ground here is that nice girls here don't really go in for a massive age difference. Half your age + 7 years is as true here as it is elsewhere (apart from the Phillies I guess).

There are loads of nice girls here, the bar scene is really only half a dozen streets in a vast, vast metropolis. I've done a bit of research with WeChat. Travelling up and down Sukhumvit I see nothing but bar girls. But go 3Km North and nobody has English on their status updates, and there are good girls galore.

That doesn't shock me that you met some Asian ladies in their 30's that are virgins. I think Asia is probably the only place left in the world like this. Still...you have to wonder about their mental state though. Sometimes those women are virgins because they are leftovers. Sometimes the leftovers are like a top notch dish with expensive truffles and sometimes it is a half eaten big mac.

Well....if you are Athiest or something. Pretend to be agnostic or something like a Unitarian. Maybe they don't give a shit, but from what I understand from people I know married to Filipino women is that most of them take God and Church fairly seriously. Hell you were married to one. Did she care? How did you guys deal with that?

There are other non-Christian sites out there too, but you might be able to find a virgin at a more religious one. If you hate God or whatever, perhaps it's best to avoid that one then.

Virgin women in mid 30s...TBH I wouldn't go near them, they are all retarded and f***ed in the head...and she might have issues downstairs, cobwebs, juiceless dry p***y syndrome

I rather be with 35yo woman who had 2-3 relationships than virgin old bag...
