Specific / skilled professions. In demand?

Post by Him_Rabbit »

Are there any ideas or thoughts about how likely being able to find work in another country as a skilled & experienced electronics technician? I have been on google to try and find an answer, and get nothing other than results other people searched for. Then I remembered this site! I was a member a looong time ago and have come back and I must say, I have been missing out on a lot of good reliable sources of unbiased international info. It's great to be back, I appreciate any feedback. I'll be reading and responding to different things here and there when I can to chip in. Thanks everyone, look forward to meeting yall!

I wish I had an electronics guy with me in China as I had an idea for a gadget but have no idea how to get beyond the prototype stage.

As far as earning money though, the skills are worthless really as China has millions of people who know this stuff. Better just to teach English, and use your expertise on side projects.
I was Happier Abroad for a while but Covid killed that off.

Is an electronics technician the same as being an electrician? If so they have plenty of those in Asia and they seem to have some kind of magical ability to survive horrendous safely violations, kind of like cartoon characters. Hence you don’t want to be trying to compete with them.
