Tours gone wild, anyone?

Post by Charger R/T »

I did do a search on this but it didn't appear to have been covered before. Has anyone used or heard of http://www.toursgonewild.com ? I searched for it on the links page but didn't see it anywhere. They appear to offer a lot, but before I do business with them I wanted to check here first. If anyone's used them before how good were they? If no one has, I will be willing to be first and let you all know, though if some of you more experienced expats would check their website for anything sneaky, that would be appreciated too. Thanks a bunch.

My $0.02 pesos:

In Vegas, if you're not well connected, then you need to pay a limo service that'd get you VIP access into the clubs. The limo service guys will grease the palms of the club door man, and you get to bypass the long lines. If you know which clubs are good, you simply ask the limo guys if they can get you in with VIP access. If you don't have a clue, then you're at the mercy of the driver.

Party tour packages are like that, with the travel expenses included. You fly to a destination city, and a driver there will pick you up and take you to places. Before you pay, you should probably call or e-mail them to ask exactly what clubs and events they'd book you for, then you do your own research. You can find online forums for the destination city and ask "is this club lame or not?".

If all they'll say is "we'll take you to one of <insert>'s HOTTEST CLUBS!" without specifics, then you're gambling with your money.

I've never understood the term "my two cents" and why it's used so often. I mean, if your opinion is only worth two cents, then why give it? And why should anyone listen to it? Isn't that very self-devaluing? Aren't you devaluing the quality of your opinion when you use that expression?

When you give your opinion as "two pennies worth", you're saying "believe what you like". There's no value in trying to explain or prove your opinion, since you're not compensated.

If you want someone to answer your questions, it's better to ask as few as possible, and make them as short as possible.

Tours Gone Wild.....

Post by ronnie1977 »

hey there.. actually my buddy traveled with them to South America last year. They are legit and pretty good according to him. The clubs you pick with them and they take you to them and include a local guide.

They get you in and have the guide stay with you and help you translate etc. My buddy did a Rio and Buenos Aires Argentina combo trip and had a blast. I have never used them before but would seriously consider them if i was going down there and wanted to party and have things arranged for me.
