In one place and want to date someone from another on-line

Basically I live in one specific country and am looking to date someone either from or living in another specific country. On the site(s) that I am looking to use, do I put I am in/from the 'target country' (and city) or my own? I suppose there are advantages & disadvantages to both options, but what is the best way to go about this? What would you do, provided you know the country in question already?

Thanks.

Why do you want to lie and say that you are in their country when you aren't? If caught, you will lose credibility. It's not necessary.

Just say you are from the US and planning to go to their country. A guy traveling all that way to meet them has a more exotic and romantic appeal to it. That helps spice things up, doesn't it?

Then, work at a job and save up money. Live with your parents if you have to. Whatever it takes. Even if you work at McDonald's, you can still save up for a plane ticket after a few months. Just cut all your expenses down to almost nothing. It's mathematically possible even if you're working at minimum wage.

Or go to your employment agency like Manpower, Kelly Services, etc. and get a temp job for a few months. They are always available. Pick something you can tolerate, not something that will cause you to suffer with backbreaking labor though.

I wouldn't say you are from a certain country unless you actually are. Don't start conversations with a foreign girl based on a lie. That will get you nowhere. Say where you are really from!!! Then, once you are on there, simply look for profiles in your target country and specifically target those, or perhaps even consider mentioning your target country IN YOUR PROFILE on the site.

Don't lie though, man.
