Getting accused of being a pedophile

Postby Asp » Sun Jun 27, 2010 5:50 pm

Western culture has gone in such a direction that men who are single, live alone etc. run a risk of being accused of being a pedophile, with the consequences that has. It's not just the US, but also countries such as the UK where I am. Is there a lower risk for single guys of this type of accusation in other countries, as I suspect there is? Is it pretty much a Western thing? What about the countries where it's said there's a better chance of relationships such as Russia, and South East Asia?

Not as much. Men are not as vilified in other countries. Just as long as you don't spend too much time hanging around children.

Totally agree with this.

When I was a kid (I'm only in my early twenties) it was very different. I played outside for hours until dark and, sure, we knew how to be safe and not talk to strangers, but there wasn't this inexplicable terror of 'every man is a potential paedophile'.

It's strange you hear cases of women doing the same thing yet we are still viewed as safe!

In the UK men can't even video their own children at a school play anymore. What exactly do the teacher's think he is going to do with that when there's so much on the internet anyway?

We all need to be careful but common sense has completely gone out of the window.

My boyfriend adores kids and has worked in schools but can't do it anymore, can't even look or smile at a child outside the family because he's scared people will think he's a kiddie-fiddler. Shame.

It's funny that males should be the ones that have to fear being labeled a pedophile since women are 5 times more likely to be pedophiles then men.

Frankly, who gives a shit what others think. If someone accuses you of being a pedophile when you're obviously not, then sue them for libel and consider it travel money.

I'm 38 years old and I'm into college age women (18 and above). A lot of people in the US think that's being a pedophile when it's obviously not.

Ever hear of a "morbid mick" or a "sick mick" (both are the same thing). Go find a book on 80s American slang. They are responsible for the pedophile scare the US was going through for the last 10 years--even though a lot of people forgot what a "morbid mick" is. I have a feeling that the UK is going through a "mick" problem as well. And I've noticed that a lot of media from the UK seems to be even more ageist than that in the states.

I'll give you a clue as to what a "mick" is: it started out as an ethnic slur, but evolved to mean a common personality type that is very cliquish and narrow-minded and exclusive of others. In fact, Winston's whole website seems to be about escaping this personality type! As many of his posts describe this personality type to a tee. Just add Roman Catholicism (in the US) with all its sexual hang ups and pedophilia, and you've got a morbid mick.

Anywhere that has a major class or caste system--or just plain social segmentation or segregation--has an abundance of this personality type. And what I know of the UK, your country has a major class system--though greatly subdued after WWII.

I am male. I totally understand men and what they are going through. i have next door neighbors whom are straight from mexico. Their kids i LOVE. and the kids are excited to see me. i enjoy playing with them and so do the kids. what is funny is that non of the mexican people around have a problem with this not even the mexican family do. they see me doing it. but they don't see me as a predator stalking kids or anything.

instead its americans i see that are next door neighbors staring at me with an angry look, especially women. these americans gossip about me ( i found this out from a friend ). they see me as a rapist or something. HAHAHAHA. Im not.

and as soon as i get myself cash money in hand i am getting out and living either in eastern europe or maybe even mexico. mexicans are so friendly, i feel comfortable around them.

Especially the mexican women. they are super easy to meet. they REALLY enjoy me flirting with them. they have charisma. they actually get physical when they flirt with me in public. i can not wait. i am tired of being american.

Not surprising, and that is tragic and sad. Is this REALLY true or are you embellishing?

Come to Asia. I don't need to be careful - what is there to be careful about? I actually have 2 students who are friends. These are teenage boys. Everyone once in awhile they call me up and we go eat noodles and play billiards on their one day off. They arrive separately - so it's just me and one of them. I have nothing to worry about here - zero.

There are girls - 15 year old girls - who visit my house. Alone. Unchaperoned. They want to be around an American, speak English, see how I live. Some need tutoring, others are just super curious.

In class I can touch the students - usually this is me chucking them on the shoulder to kid around, or pulling them up to talk if they are too shy, or tapping them to sit back down.

This would be illegal in America and subject to disciplinary action at best, life-destroying charges at worst.

People can instantly tell that I love kids and that I am just a normal, single man.

It's just sane and normal and psychologically healthy here.

Good news about that is that BOAC changed the policy and puts kids in their own section away from other passengers now.

I guess it's an improvement - treating ALL adults as a threat, now...

I am 50 but I look much younger - girls think I am 35-40, so I attract 18-25 year old women when I am in Asia. I am not breaking any laws and if they accuse me in the US, I will sue the bastards for defamation. In Asia no one will accuse me because it is normal there and as long as I am not legally doing anything wrong I do not care what anyone says in the West. I am not really living there or building a social life there.

There have been cases reported with guys coming into the West with them having pictures of themselves hugging and making out with younger Asian women. To uninitiated Western eyes in the Customs these look much younger than their age so I have heard of pictures being confiscated and investigations being conducted. I doubt this was in LA but could be somewhere at Dallas Internation etc. Or maybe Chicago. I think.
Well, of course there was no case as the judge dismissed those but one sure needs to be discreet so that one does not get hassled.
I was in my 30ies and had an 18 year old girlfriend and people in the US would grumble and call me all sorts of names. But they had their 40 year old wives whom they probably could not stand by now and here I enter with my photos of my 18 year old tropical flower. Jealousy unbridled. You sicko! ( read- You devil, you! Look who you've brung up, I'd give an arm and a leg just to talk to one like that for 5 minutes, and you spent night after night with that girl in bed doing all kinds of wild things! I am dying of jealousy)

If anyone is 18+, they are adults and no one can legally do anything to you. Check the laws in your country.

But as usual, be discreet and when you are in an office full of middle aged Western women and grumpy middle aged guys with their post menopause wives waiting for them back home in order to envelop them in their folds of fat, do not put a screen saver of your 20 year old Filipina for everyone to see. Or start telling tales about your latest exploits in Bangkok or Manila and how you were laying three 18 year olds there.
Such info is given out on a need to know/deserve to know basis to a close friend or two or on anonymous forums for players.

I am glad I live in Mexico. This nanny state insanity can affect your psychological and ultimately your physical health.

When I was in Japan, a Japanese professor and I stayed at his country house regularly and invited female students to stay with us. These are college girls. We drank all night and sang songs with a guitar. They would retire to their rooms and I would go to mine and the Japanese teacher would go to his. We were teachers so no one would even think that we would be capable of something obscene. That is the high level of trust they put in teachers there.
In the US we would both be fired and blacklisted for something as innocent as that. And be in the news and newspapers the following day.

If the Japanese were not that racist, I would not mind living there.

Statistically something absurdly high like 75%+ of molestation/pedophilia come from members of the family and not strangers. This hysteria is just bible-thumping reactionary nonsense. I think deep down a lot of it is sexual repression and anger too. They see sex demons everywhere because people have been conditioned to think of it as dirty.

Western women hurl the "p" word around to stigmatize the biggest threat to their relevance, younger women. If older women allow men to consort with young women they stand to lose their husbands and their re-marriage prospects forever.

As mentioned before, envious men do the same by ensuring they are not outdone in the mating game by keeping their peers away from younger women.

The best thing to do is leave the Western countries and resettle in the developing world where the "P" word is not a social weapon.

In SE Asia, a mature man with a younger woman is completely normal because (scary enough) it may be the way nature intended it. A stable 'rich' guy with experience taking care of younger, prettier women and guiding them is the way it is meant to be.

I was recently in Mindanao where I am dating one 20 year old tribal girl. You can see the tribe here:

http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&expI ... 66&bih=587

One of the tribal heads just told me- bring more white guys for the T'boli girls. He did not specify the age of the guys. As long as they are white. When I asked the T'boli girl about the age difference she was nonplussed- why is that going to be a problem? It did not even enter her mind that it would be an issue.

Men do not have the menopause and can make kids until the day they die- especially now with Viagra, so, it may be that nature intended men to impregnate women, make them kids, and go on and breed with yet younger women. Especially as one gets older and wealthier, he becomes more of a protective husbandly figure that women want to be protected by.

It is also a practice in traditional Africa for wealthy older guys to take in fresh young wives, and since we came from Africa we may have inherited it.
What our million year old genetic programming impels us to do and what the fairly recent societal norms prescribe that we do may very well be two different things.

But if you are a poor old man, well, then it is an issue.

I was participating in a study at a college I attended to find out if older men should be with younger women. After contacting a lot of psychologists and marriage counselors, among many other types of people, we found out it is indeed what nature intended! A lot of people in our society won't believe this, but the best relationships do have at least a 15 year age difference.
