The issue is simple. Either this forum operates on the principle of free speech or it doesn't. This is such a good example of why civilizations at large go downhill because of democracy. And like America, the leaders ask for a vote to decide things and then do what they want anyway even when the vote contradicts what they want...

It looks like from the poll results, that most of you are in favor of allowing racist hate speech here? Dang.

What do you all think of racist jokes? I read some good ones in books before that are very funny but highly offensive as well.

You want to know what I actually think about those old jokes? I think that they served a valuable social purpose- they let people have a way to let off steam about volatile tensions between groups. I think that when progressives started forcing the PC speech codes onto the public in the 1990s, that their intentions backfired. I think that to take away those jokes, and comedy skits (Benny Hill, etc.), and to gag people's free opinions, only made us even more hostile, resentful, stressed and uncomfortably nervous around each other.

I'd honestly prefer that people tell no-holds-barred, old-fashioned jokes dogging out my ethnic group, if it meant that we could all relax and loosen up about the subject once again.

You guys know how I feel about the subject- the bannings and the selective PC (hammering the shit out of Cornfed & the infamous odbo, while continuing to let Irizarry & friends wreak havoc around here) are not cool with me.

Please relax the race hysteria, already.

Racist hate speech and racist attacks on other members should NOT be allowed. But racial stereotyping is ok as long as it's not overdone or in bad manner.

I think, option 4 is OK.

- Talking about differences between races that we observe. For example, like when I posted the thread about how white American families are not as closely bonded as Asian and Mexican families. Should that be allowed? Is this a form of racial stereotyping?

- Making stereotypes based on race, such as that black guys can jump higher in basketball than whites can. Or that Asian students do better in school. Etc.

To talk about all such differences - examples see above - we observe when comparing Western countries with other countries is an important part of this forum. This can be done without insulting anybody and I see no reason why this should not be allowed.

It is somewhat strange to me how much racism still plays a major role in USA. Same is true with religion in certain countries.

I like the Hindu Indian girl, the Buddhist Thai girl, the Muslim Malay girl and the Filipina catholic girl and the Chinese atheist girl. I like women who are black, Asian or white. I like women because I am heterosexual. -

Did I say something wrong? I am not sure as nowadays, it is already a shame to say to be male, heterosexual, white and married - especially if you are married internationally with a woman of different race. Loser, pervert...mail-order-bride...

Internet related forum administrators are often kept responsible for comments in many countries, where free speech does not exist. - Even in USA there is the tendency to control the internet and it is legally complicated - for example in this case it is about racism. What is hate speech, and what is not? WinstonWu is just trying to find the answer somehow for his forum and is asking the forum members for replies I guess.

The issue of dysgenics being allowed to drag everyone down to their own level in Western society is right up there with feminism as a source of our current woes, so it seems strange that a forum such as HA would try to restrict speech about the issue.

This forum has some good posters, info, conversation, and insight on it. But unfortunately, it has also become a breeding ground for racist dickheads like cornfed, fschmidt, and bitchslapper who are combative and defend each other's racist remarks. And I bet they don't say half the shit in person that they say on this forum.

It is quite simple. This is a free speech forum, so if you value political correctness over free speech the idea is to leave and go to the ~99.9% of the Internet or 100% of television where you are protected from other people having the temerity to exercise their right to free speech. To join one of the few forums that allows politically incorrect speech and then try to drag it down into the sewer with the rest of society is wanton vandalism, but then I guess that is who you are and what you do...
