Kale is supposed to be the most nutritious vegetable. But i cant find it in Asia. Is it only in certain countries? Dr. Eric Berg says its the best vegetable for your liver. If you cant find it, they sell it in freeze dried powder form at health food stores too. I drank it today and it tasted like spinach.

Momopi,
In another thread you said you were taking care of your parents. Ive helped my parents recently by giving them green superfoods, the ones i mentioned above in this thread. I suggest you do the same. For old people it helps them a lot. My parents have more energy and vitality now after they took the stuff i recommended above.

Especially chlorella. Its the best green superfood with the highest level of nutrients, enzymes and protein. Has a long list of benefits too. And even detoxes toxic metals from the body. You should get some for your parents to try. Its very popular now in Taiwan and Japan. And as you know if Japanese are making it and consuming it then it must be good.

There are websites and news videos in Taiwan about it that you could show them if they dont read English. You can google it in chinese. Here is the chinese translation for chlorella: 小球藻

I have some links in chinese for you.

https://www.taiwanchlorella.com.tw/products01.php?id=1

http://superhealth.com/aboutchlorella/portfolio-2/

News clips in Taiwan about chlorella.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozt4AfcHbMY

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm0irvMPW3o

Btw the taiwan chlorella costs 5 times more than the Japanese one for some reason. So id get the Japanese one from health stores or online stores like www.iherb.com or www.vitacost.com.

Why was my blood sugar level elevated? I am the change manager at work for 11 business units with 26 meetings on my calendar. In the mornings we get jumbo XL sized doughnuts, pastries, muffins, crossiants, scones, chocolate chip cookies, etc all freshly baked and delivered with juice to the conference room. After eating 3 large chocolate chip cookies in 2 hours my blood sugar level went over 200. I didn’t exercise at work and binge watch Korean dramas at home. My pancreas went on strike.

Now I track down the cute viet secretary at work in the morning and split a pastry with her, skip the juice and walk across the street to get lunch. At home I use stationary exercise bike while watching Korean drama. My blood sugar level and blood pressure is down. My doc says with continued improvement I may be able to reduce or get off meds (slow release metformin 500mg).

It’s not hard. Don’t binge eat and get off your feet. Exercise will improve insulin production (walking/jogging better than bicycling according to my doc). Don’t blame the food or look for excuses when you’re the one stuffing it into your mouth. Portion control and don’t eat until you are full. If you feel full after eating then you ate too much. You can disregard the above if you are a farm laborer living the Amish lifestyle.

If you want vitamin A eat a carrot. If you want vitamin C eat an orange. If you want to take beets supplement for blood pressure put sliced beets in your salad. If you have to take a pill or powdered supplements for blood sugar, poke your finger and measure your blood sugar level baseline, then check to see if the supplement actually works over a two month period. I.e. berberine/cinnamon/etc works for some people but not others.

Momopi,
I dont binge eat and i dont watch soap operas. The thing is when you're over 40, weight is very stubborn and doesnt wanna come off. You gotta do something extreme to lose weight and its not sustainable.

I do lose more weight when im happy though, like when im in a country thats fun and allows me to be me. But in taiwan and USA i hate going out and seeing antisocial inhuman zombies. It makes me depressed. I know you cant understand but truth is truth. Im spiritual and sensitive, you are not. Bad vibes affect me a lot more than you. And bad chemistry with negative people and society like taiwan or USA drains my soul and energy like kryptonite does to superman. Thats why i call taiwan and island of kryptonite. It takes away all my powers and doesn't allow me to be me, which is crippling.

You cant understand because you arent a freespirit or old soul and you conform to the corporate world like a corporate drone. So you cant relate and arent on our frequency. Other asian freethinkers like zboy1, bao3niang and ethan_sg can relate to me though. They know what i mean, whereas you are closer to the typical asian american who is achievement and career oriented and conformist. Im sure you know that. Its obvious.

Im also INFJ which if you look it up means i cant do something unless it has meaning and purpose. I dont do something out of duty only.

Btw you sound a lot like michio kaku. Every time i listen to him, i notice that he talks very similarly to you. Lol. Like you he parrots everything the establishment says cause its his job and plus hes asian, which means hes hardwired to obey and defend establishment views no matter how corrupt or deceitful they become. Fortunately me and others have overcome our asian DNA programming to obey and believe authority and official position. That's a key difference between us. No offense but those are some real differences between us that ive observed.

I know this is irrelevant but its just something interesting that ive noticed. Watch michio kaku on YouTube. He is similar to you in many ways, including the way he thinks. Hes very practical but talks about sci fi futures a lot.

Btw momopi, if you did some research youd know that the green superfoods i recommended to you above contain a lot more vitamin A than carrots and a lot more vitamin C than oranges. Theres no comparison. You can look up the nutritional content on such stuff. Next time dont be lazy. Do some research. :P. Learn to open your closed mind to new knowledge too. :P

? I do not understand why you think that you have to do something extreme to lose weight and keeping it off.

I am 46 and was able to lose 10 lbs by using stationary exercise bike while watching Korean drama. I do not watch Michio Kaku. I watch melodramas like “moon embracing the sun”, “uncontrollably fond”, “my love from another star”, etc.

I don’t pedal very hard either.

I did not need powdered supplements or “green super foods” to lower my blood pressure or blood sugar level. But if you or anyone else want to use it that’s up to you. For blood sugar it’s simple, you use your glucometer before and after meals to see what the results are. If certain foods cause large increase then you avoid or eat less of it.

Buy a treadmill or exercise bike, install a TV on the wall and attach chromecast. You can exercise while watching videos about kale. Might possibly work better than eating the kale.

In a study published the Journal of Medicinal Food, researchers found that doses of 8,000 mg of chlorella per day (divided into 2 doses), helps lower cholesterol and blood glucose levels.

When the person gets every year increase his age, they go to Old age and reduce energy.

I faced this real fact from my parents, and I am also going to further 25. We can't ignore our old age, we should take care of yourself.

Do any of you use omega 3 fish oil? What's that do? Why is that so popular? Do you only take that if you don't eat enough fish?

I heard krill oil is better and more soluable and absorbable and gives you more fatty acids. It doesn't have mercury either like fish does, since the krill shrimp it's from is from the bottom of the ocean where mercury doesn't reach. So it's cleaner and healthier, but more expensive. However I found some krill oil on iherb.com for $20 to $30,

Wow I used beet root powder to get my blood pressure down to 130/80! I've never seen it that low before! Beet juice or beet powder really does work! I read about it before so I decided to try it. The powder form is concentrated and gives you more beet when you add water. I drink it about twice a day and it's made a big difference in my blood pressure. So if you have high blood pressure you should try it too. It's a new way to "beet" high blood pressure. lol. You can get some on iherb.com here:

Agree so far...

You get protein with those but you also get DEATH. In more than one meaning.

Check out this tree called MORINGA. It's considered India's top #1 superfood and has so many amazing health benefits that are for real! In India, moringa is called "The miracle tree" and for good reason too. See these links below for more info about moringa. You can get it at your health food store or at iherb.com. I would recommend that capsule form though, because the powder form is disgusting and difficult to drink even in water. It's so bad you won't even be able to force yourself to drink it. I don't know how other health nuts do drink it. It's unbearable. So take the capsule form where you just swallow it. This is definitely another superfood to add to your plate and is not to be missed.
