Great Psychedelic Films that'll mindfuck you like acid trip!

Postby Winston » December 9th, 2012, 6:19 pm

You all should see these films by David Lynch. They are creepy and mindfucking and will leave you wondering "WTF?!" at the end. LOL

Mulholland Dr

I just saw Mulholland Dr and the lesbian love scenes with Naomi Watts were incredible and tense. There's a huge twist in it that will leave you hanging for days with "WTF?"

Check out this 1973 film Eraserhead by David Lynch. It's supposed to be his best one, according to his fans. It's about a guy with a psycho ex-girlfriend and mutant child, who isn't even sure if he is dreaming or not. There are many interpretations of the film.

Winston, I thought you told us not to use swear words in any posts we made (except for NSFW area) and in this thread you are using the word 'mindfuck.' WTF?

You are breaking your own rules!

Well you can say them, but they are censored out with ***'s so that you know what was said. Swearing is not a violation of Google's content policies. In general though, you shouldn't swear unless you are making a dramatic point. Do it with some style.

Check out the description for "The Holy Mountain". It's very interesting and has high ratings on IMDB. This guy I listen to named Michael Tsarion talked about it. You can get it from the torrent sites now, since I'm not sure you can get it any other way since it's from 1973.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0071615/

Description:

This film gives the omniscient view of what social engineering caused by greed has done to the modern world, but shows us how to live and not give in to a material world.

A Christlike figure wanders through bizarre, grotesque scenarios filled with religious and sacrilegious imagery. He meets a mystical guide who introduces him to seven wealthy and powerful people, each representing a planet in the Solar system. These seven, along with the protagonist, the guide and the guide's assistant, divest themselves of their worldly goods and form a group of nine who will seek the Holy Mountain, in order to displace the gods who live there and become immortal.

Here is a creepy psychedelic French/German film from 1975.

Black Moon (1975)

A Freudian tale of adolescent sexuality set in a postapocalyptic world of shifting identities and talking animals. It is one of Malle's most experimental films and a cinematic daydream like no other.

There is a war in the world between the men and the women. A young girl tries to escape this reality and comes to a hidden place where a strange unicorn lives with a family: Sister, Brother, many children and an old woman that never leaves her bed but stays in contact with the world through her radio. Since the content of this picture is not as important as the pictures and allegories, the simple plot can not be described further.

Did anyone see that recent movie "The Signal"? It was very kafkaesque and reminded me of Dark City. It mind f***s you and the ending is shocking too. Here is the IMDB info page for it.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2910814/

The Signal (2014)

On a road trip, Nic and two friends are drawn to an isolated area by a computer genius. When everything suddenly goes dark, Nic regains consciousness - only to find himself in a waking nightmare.

I just saw this movie called Triangle last night. Its from 2009. Man it was spooky and creepy. Gave me nightmares. A great mystery thriller that keeps you glued to the screen in suspense. Once the yacht group gets on the abandoned cruise ship, chills begin running down your spine as creepy details come up. Then all hell breaks loose. You gotta see it. The female protagonist in it has great legs that even rock would like. Lol

Movie info, reviews and trailer.

Other similar thriller mystery movies i heard of are "Memento" and "The Machinist". Check them out too.

Whoa you guys gotta see the trailer for this movie called "beyond the black rainbow". Damn. It looks like a total psychedelic acid trip and mind f**k! Wow! Lol. A must see! It even has the illuminati all seeing eye on the poster of the movie too. Lol. See trailer below. Looks like the best mind f**k in a long time! Lol

http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1534085/?ref=m_nv_sr_1

Other recent films you may like......

A cure for wellness. About a castle in europe in the swiss alps that becomes an insane asylum for all who enter. It explores the question: what is saneness and what is madness? Its very original and weird. See trailer below.

http://m.imdb.com/title/tt4731136/?ref=m_nv_sr_1

And if you havent see shutter island with Leonardo DiCaprio and ben kingsley. Its very Kafkaesque and about an insane asylum. Amazing twist at the end. And conspiracy theory too. Trailer below.

http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1130884/?ref=m_nv_sr_1

Theres a scene where a security guy tells DiCaprio that "god loves war, he put us here to make war in his name". May be a message from the elite.

Btw check out this one. I seen it twice. Its a british suspense thriller called "exam" and is very gripping and hooking and shows the worst in human nature. Its about a group of job candidates in an exam room competing for their dream job. They have 80 minutes to answer just one question, but the problem is that the question is just a blank sheet of paper on their desks! Lol. So, not knowing what the f**k to do, all the candidates try to work together to figure out what exactly the question is. They try to get creative at first but then the worst in human nature starts to come out. Its a great psychological film. Brilliant. Shows what people will do to each other to win. They even start resorting to murder near the end. See below.
