lone_yakuza wrote:f***ing disgusting in the next scene taking an actual kenyan uncle tom who says that whites staying longer would have been better. No. Actually because the white/western imperialists were throwing money at Africa and supporting corrupt political leaders, THAT is why Africa was not able to develop. Contrast that with what China is attempting to do in WORKING WITH Africa and trying to treat them as PARTNERS, despite how some Chinese are racist.
Well, I hate colonialism myself, but you can't deny what he said wasn't true: under colonialism, many countries such as Burma, Philippines, and many of the African countries were prosperous under White rule; after the Whites left, things all but went to hell in those countries. How do you explain that Burma and Philippines were the richest country in Asia just after colonialism? That Nigeria had higher economic development than South Korea and that Hong Kong became the economic miracle it is today? I don't like White imperialism, but Obama's brother had a point!

You certainly have an interesting perspective Yakuza. It's like history as written by the losers. It'd be very great if you could write a book displaying your version of American history.

Well I already know some of this stuff, but I know what you mean about the schools. Can you recommend me some books?

Ha, yeah, she told me about that one too. But it's mainly focused on Western views of Asian women, right? I'm talking about history in general.

Before all this, you said you wanted to be a marine. So it's interesting that you could have the perspective of knowing what it's like to want to defend America and now you've come to this. I'm basically someone who respects warrior culture, but that requires honor codes like the samurai. So I see on the American Right dishonorable warriors and on the Left a bunch of sickening pansies. That's why I'm shifting focus to Asia.
