Great feel good oldies and love songs music

Post by Winston »

Here are some great romantic feel good oldies and love songs that move me with nostalgia and memories of past loves.

This is a great easy listening song about the pitfalls and risks you incur when you are in love with a beautiful woman or have one. They lyrics are so true.

When you're in love with a beautiful woman - Dr. Hook

Here's a sad love song called "Just when I needed you most". The video shows an moving image of raindrops falling outside in the backdrop of a cloudy sky, which perfectly depicts the lyrics of the song, because after all, when you are missing someone and feeling sad about it, the raindrops outside reflect the sadness. The romantic candle on the table also connotates the romance that you are missing as well.

Just when I needed you most - Randy Van Warmer

A very romantic love song that you can dedicate to any sweetheart you have.

After The Lovin - Engelbert Humperdinck

Check out this romantic oldie by Skeeter Davis from the 1960's called "The End of the World". It's very soothing, relaxing, romantic and beautiful.

One of the most nostalgic songs in the world. Sung by Mary Hopkins in 1968. Wow her face looked so wholesome, innocent, genuine and feminine. Women looked so different back then. Amazing.

Those Were The Days - Mary Hopkins

Lyrics:

Once upon a time there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours
And dreamed of all the great things we would do

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...

Then the busy years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If by chance I'd see you in the tavern
We'd smile at one another and we'd say

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
La la la la...

Just tonight I stood before the tavern
Nothing seemed the way it used to be
In the glass I saw a strange reflection
Was that lonely woman really me

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
La la la la...

Through the door there came familiar laughter
I saw your face and heard you call my name
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same

Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
La la la la...
