Wow look at the attitude of women in the 1960's - Big Valley

Check out this video from an episode of the TV Western classic "The Big Valley". At the beginning, Victoria Barkley tells the wife of a boxer that a man without pride might as well be dead, so she should support her husband and stand by him when he needs her the most. So sweet and elegant are her words. Wow. Now that's how a real woman thinks!

How come women today don't say that on TV?

My earliest memories are of 1964. I have vague, hazy recollections of a saner time.

You should see the photos of my Mom, Hallow'een, 1967. In a cat woman outfit, 5 kids, 7 pregnancies, and still a hot MILF at age 31.

No way you find that in the USA today.

Did any of you see the scene at the beginning in the video above where Victoria Barkley tells the woman to stand by her husband's side lest he lose his pride? It's clear cut proof that American culture in 1960 was so much more pro-male than today.
