Women who spent more than $20,000 on a wedding divorced 3.5 times more frequently than those who spent between $5,000 and $10,000.

Cubic Zirconia is where its at baby.....Spend max. $500....Especially for an engagement ring.....there is absolutely no reason whatsoever why you should spend $10k on an engagement ring when there isnt any guarantee of a marriage.....And dont think that if you two split, that she would willingly give you back the engagement ring....You may have to take the bitch to court to get it back....

Also $20k for a wedding?!?! WTF! .....f**k that shit....You men need to seriously ask these hoes when they start crying about wanting to get married......"What's more important to you, the marriage or the wedding?!?"

"Women want to get married, but they don't want to be married" - Tom Leykis

I'm always amazed that once most people decide to get married and/or get engaged they spend months and sometimes years planning their wedding. But they spend almost no time planning their marriage.

How long can a wedding last? A few hours.
How long can marriage last? A lifetime, so can alimony.

I don't believe in marriage, weddings, and the nonsense that goes with them. Why get the government and/or religion involved in your relationships? They are both corrupt organizations and have no reason to be in the relationship business. Signing contracts for people just doesn't work for me, especially when the divorce rate is so high in many countries. Anything else with such a high rate of failure would be avoided by everyone, but people still get married by the millions, completely ridiculous. Unless in you are in some hardcore religious countries where you can't have sex or kids without being married, anything you can do inside a marriage can be done outside a marriage. You don't need a license to live together, have kids, have a joint bank account, buy a place to live, or do all the other things that married people do. So why do you need a license to get married?

Engagements, weddings, marriage, and diamonds are a scam and I won't fall for it.

Even being in a long relationship or living together in most "western" countries is a scam now too, it's called common law.

Most western countries already have a bachelor tax. They don't tax single people more, but they tax married people less. So it's carefully disguised.
It's just like the pizza places that advertise free delivery, but charge you less to pick the pizza up.

By the way, marriage is the leading cause of divorce.

Interesting observations. This is true of all western countries. Marriage ceremonies are just another way to satisfy the attention whoring, borderline personalities of most western women. They would be just as happy if they had a cardboard cut out of a groom standing at the alter and in many cases they do as the poor guy has no idea what he's getting into.

I know my Filipina wife loves me. She melted down her mom's jewelry to makes wedding rings for both of us. I didn't have money to take her on a honeymoon and she never complained.
