Came to refute this, I believe the soviets and Germans allied not too long after they both invaded Poland. In addition, the Soviets invaded Finland afterwards too.
The Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact (Treaty of Non-aggression between Germany and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) was signed on August 23, 1939. The invasion of Poland started on September 1st, 1939.

If you're referring to the German–Soviet Axis talks in October 1940, the discussion failed and Hitler invaded Russia.
But they were not enemies at the time Britain and France declared war on Germany.

As I've clearly stated above, Germany and Russia had signed a treaty of non-aggression BEFORE the invasion of Poland. UK and France declared war AFTER the invasion of Poland, when the German-Soviet treaty was already in effect.

Note that when the Soviets signed the non-aggression pact with Germany, they were at war with Japan in the Far East. This removed the immediate threat of a two-front war.

Check out this interesting National Geographic documentary about Pearl Harbor called "Pearl Harbor: Disaster for Japan".

It claims that even though on the surface it was a victory for Japan, in reality it was a disaster for Japan, because:

1. If Japan had not attacked Pearl Harbor, America would not have entered the war, and was not going to anyway, so the Japanese would still have kept their Asian Pacific Empire. So it was an unnecessary act that led to its downfall.

2. The attack was woefully incomplete because it only sank battleships and cruisers, which were easy to salvage and repair. If the Japanese had continued and destroyed the a) fuel depot inland, b) submarines parked by the bay, and c) the ship building yards in the harbor, then the US Navy would have been set back by two years. Thus Japan might have won the war and dominated the Asian Pacific. That was Admiral Yamamoto's plan, but Admiral Naguma did not follow through on it.

This means that the Japanese Admiral Naguma made one of the biggest war blunders in history, almost as bad as Hitler's decision to invade Russia and sacrifice most of his army. Naguma had the US Navy by the balls, totally defenseless, but instead of going for the kill, he ordered a retreat and ran off due to his imaginary fears that US submarines and carriers might be trying to sink his 6 carriers, which they weren't. Totally stupid and senseless. Thus he squandered Japan's best opportunity to win the war, which never came again. Man is Admiral Naguma stupid or what? His intelligence must be below average.

The Japanese must feel really stupid for these two major blunders above which defied basic logic and strategy. Why would they build up a powerful empire and fleet only to destroy it? Don't these Navy admirals have to take an IQ test? lol. Why are they so dumb? If I were in command, I would never had made such dumb mistakes. Why didn't they have smart people running their navy? Why are the Japanese so stupid in battle tactics, but so smart in manufacturing electronics and cars?

Hitler had way too much love for the British. Some even suspect that he was secretly Jewish and was working for them all along. He let them escape at Dunkirk. He could have finished the war then. There were some other battles in which his commanders warned him against his strategy, but he wouldn't listen to them. Also, that strategy of never retreating, lots of lives lost.

He had to invade Russia though. They were just weeks away from invading Western Europe, and we already know that they were mass murdering and starving the ethnic Russians (who practiced a form of apostate Christianity known as Russian Orthodox, more than likely, sadly for them). Gulags and the rest would have been the fate of many. And the lives of western Europeans and their lives would have been destroyed by the Soviets (whose leaders were almost all exclusively of Jewish descent).

All of that though, and Hitler knew that Roosevelt was coming into the war. Yet he did nothing about it.

And I always why wonder the Third Reich didn't take over the rest of Europe and indoctrinate them with the Nationalist Socialist ideology, like they brainwashed the German people? In other words, why didn't they "Nazi-fy" (for lack of a better term) the entirety of Europe, like they did with the HY? But that would probably take 10-20 years to pull off.

They indoctrinated Germany pretty heavily with their ideology, even with the creation of the Hitler Youth and oaths of loyalty and all the rest. They even thought Hitler was God, calling him their savior. He failed though.

3. Why did the US enter the war only after Germany attacked Russia? A. To save communism.

5. Why did Eisenhower kill 1.7 million German POW's after the war had ended?

If you consider for a moment that Winston Churchill, Eisenhower, Hitler and Stalin had the same "employer" then it starts to make sense.

Because it had already been decided from the beginning, and probably decades before it even got started, exactly what they were going to do. They knew and had planned for the USA to come in on the side of the British and the Russians. The USA was even sending Russia arms and money instead playing neutral. This was just some underhandedness which they've never even revealed to the American public and which they are still hiding and lying about.

The same people who were supporting our capitalism were also supporting their communism. Same people behind both.

Now, the only question left is, was Hitler a genuine pro-German, or was he just playing the role scripted for him?

I'm late to the thread, but one interpretation I've heard is that Japan attacked Pearl Harbor to wipe out the US fleet so that it could conquer The Philippines to add to its Asian conquests.

What if Russia had joined the Axis Powers in 1940? Then Germany and Russia would probably have been invincible and unstoppable in Europe and maybe beyond. The combination of German technology and organized efficiency and Russian resources and unlimited manpower would have been unstoppable and ruthless and rad. The USA and Britain would have had their hands full and probably would have had met their match or been outmatched. It would have been totally rad. Here's how the WW2 scenario would have likely played out had Russia joined the Axis Powers in 1940. (they should have for their own good)

What if Hitler never invaded Russia? Then this is how the scenario for WW2 would have likely played out.

There are official explanations for some of those.

1. The Nazis did not "turn around" at the gates of Moscow. They went south to Ukraine to capture the wheat fields and oil fields. Hitler believed they were more important. He figured Napoleon captured Moscow once but it did him no good. Stalin could simply flee Moscow to evade capture. That was a mistake. I think capturing Moscow would have been a psychological victory. And might have gotten the Russians to depose of Stalin. Also, Hitler should have recruited the Ukrainians into his army rather than treat them like prisoners and slaves. They hated Stalin too and would have fought on the German side maybe. Later on the Germans did go to Moscow again but by then it was too late and Moscow was too strongly fortified to invade.

2. The Germans didn't let the 300,000 British troops escape. The German army was exhausted and needed to rest and their supply lines were overstretched. So Hitler let Herman Goering use his Luftwaffe air force to try to bomb the British army to smitherines. It didn't work though. The British evacuated most of the troops. But 50,000 were left behind and captured by the Germans. That's the official story. Even if Hitler had finished off those 300k troops, there were many more men in Britain that could have joined the army.

There is a new movie coming out now called "Dunkirk". You should check it out. Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-eMt3SrfFU

3. The US entered the war because of Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor. The US did not declare war on Germany though. Hitler declared war on the US, hoping that in doing so, Japan would declare war on Russia too, but it didn't. This short documentary explains this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=33xiWZT2YqM

When Hitler declared war on the US, that gave Roosevelt the excuse he needed to get America involved in the European campaign, which he didn't have before because the American people didn't want to get involved in it. It was a major blunder by Hitler, totally reckless, illogical and self-destructive.

I'm just amazed I'm here to be honest. My grandfather's boat was bombed by Stuka dive bombers. My grandmother's house was burnt down by an incendiary bomb. My 1yo dad was on a trip to London when the V1 bombs started to be launched.

And before that my great grandfather was almost killed by a German shell at Ypres in WW1. He lost his hearing, but his buddy lost his life. My great grandfather only enlisted in the army to get a free pair of boots - well they thought it would be all over by Christmas.

It's a miracle any of us are here.

Great quotes about why Japan was forced into the attack on Pearl Harbor and therefore not to blame, thus America was never truly forced into WW2.

Gen. Walter C. Short, U.S. Army commander at Pearl Harbor, testifies that he did exactly as he was told, otherwise he could have taken measures to prevent the attack on Pearl Harbor:

Admiral Husband Kimmel, Pacific Fleet commander at Pearl Harbor, testifies the same:

Thanks. Isn't FDR burning in hell right now though, for conspiring to make Pearl Harbor happen and killing over 2,000 Americans? How did he face God's judgment after he died? How did he answer for that? What did he experience during his life review? Why won't the US media and history books come clean about all this? Why continue to portray him as a hero?
