Americans trespass on neighbor's yard to fix flag

i saw this on the local news and couldn't believe it.....someone had an upside down American flag in their yard and the neighbors thought they had the right to trespass and "fix" it....so much for freedom of speech

There's two takes to this, if I may engage in some generalizations:

1)
I have to make the 'murica' comment and say many immigrants don't respect the local culture or values. they want to stay "there" while being "here" and annoyingly rub it in others faces. I always say we should respect the places where we visit or establish in, keep a low profile and don't piss people off. It's simple stuff, I don't know why so many can't do it.


2)
As far as the old farts trespassing, many people talk about freedom (especially here in the states) while simultaneously desiring to conform and belong to a "collective". It demonstrates to me people, deep-down, really don't want a "democracy" or "individualism".
1)Too much of one thing defeats the purpose.
2)Everybody is full of it. What's your hypocrisy?
